BREAKING: Central Michigan University shooting breaks out, ALL schools in city on lockdown

CENTRAL Michigan University is on lockdown after a shooting in the Campbell Hall building, sparking a gun alert across the Mount Pleasant city area.

Well here we go again. Killer on the loose.

Shots may have been heard. Everyone on lockdown.

If you pray then perhaps you could help right now.

There does not seem to be much else we can do at this time.

Via a friend who's daughter goes to school there....

2 shot in dorm.

Black Male Perp on the loose.

Campus and surrounding schools on lock down.

Right now I'm thinking it's more of a personal disputes that a mass shooting incident.

We will see.

I live there. My kids school is on lockdown. Releasing kids to parents now with heavy police presence. I’m not sure that’s the best idea. Reportedly two dead. Shooter at large.

Saw this earlier on my local news .. said 2 shot. sounds like a run of the mill shooting. not a mass shooter.

Trying to keep up with things both here and on Fox. My prayers for the two families, and my hopes that they get this guy before he can kill again.

"Run of the mill"... I know what he meant, and I don't condemn anyone for the use of the term, but it saddens me that those words could ever be used in conjunction with someone's death.

Really? Like saying its just Aids or Cancer...

We all know shootings happen in real life, especially in drug and crime infested areas. But as a society these 'revenge' type killings whether they be workplace, family, or school related are on the rise and it is undeniable.

This is a very deep and complex problem that has and continues to develop in our society. There is no simple answer, and to be honest the 'crazy left' as most people would call them aren't after all of your guns.

This isn't 100% a gun issue, or 100% mental health, or 100% video game violence, or 100% parenting, or 100% family values, personal responsibility, respect etc. It is a combination of all of them.

Our problems as a society is that the news media will try to polarize us all and make things absolute as that drives rating. Our society needs to be smarter and not fall into those traps and really work to try to find a solution. We may never be able to find the perfect solution but continuing to do absolutely nothing is ignorant at best.

The point is it's not a mass murder spree of people the shooter didn't know. Seems to be a targeted shooting of someone (girlfriend?) the shooter knew. Sad but hardly uncommon in our society.

Plus the shooter is a black male. Everyone knows mass shooters are troubled white males.

Guess that gun free zone worked again huh? Sure stopped them.

I thought that as well, as soon as I saw the perp was black I knew it wasnt going to be a mass shooting.
