The weird upward angle chages look funky.
Anybody know the temperature there?

Bugs might concentrate above the city lights, if it's even warm enough there.

Bats fly crazy like that too.

As well as drone swarms.

The trails make me think camera artifacts or drunk aliens.

They do. In fact, the source has video of seagulls flying at night. Anyway, here you go folks:



They guy explains the trails and even takes the video of the seagulls from the same night and adds the trails so that you can see that it looks identical.
