It was a carjacking. Nobody approached an armed criminal; the criminal approached the victim. The criminal had a firearm and was after the victims vehicle... Should he have just let the guy kill him? You know that's how a lot of carjackings go down, right? Are all non-Americans this pig-headed that they believe the world is all lollipops and rainbows? This whole moral high-profile schtick is wearing pretty thin.

By hey, don't let facts get in the way. Need something to make yourself feel like a big man now don't you. Emasculated indeed.

Emasculated, lol. Yeah, because not defending yourself is so masculine. Has the whole world gone crazy?

If I think you stole something from a shop can I just shoot you... because hey, you probably have a concealed gun.

This is the job of the national police gang. They do this all the time, for a paycheck and a badge.
Ask the Long Beach police force. Better yet, ask Jason Conoscenti. Unarmed. Purportedly he lifted some trinket from a Target. Then he walked away after cops had him surrounded by land and sea. The cops swore, testified Jason was armed with a long gun and turned him into Swiss cheese. Then, cuffed him and stepped on his lifeless neck. But then, a video of the massacre surfaced. Cops were let off, because power has absolutely been corrupted.

See anything wrong with this picture? This is part of the reason citizens are provided with certain God given rights. Inalienable.

Keep it up. All that will remain will be armed criminals and paid killers.

As for me, the Constitution stands. Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness. In case you haven’t been paying attention, much of this has vanished through progressive globaliss erosion of values. It’s a conspiracy.

Guns, armed masses, these are standing in gap, and the usual suspects are acting out once again.
Because they fear they are deserving of being vanquished. This is how they get elected, and it is campaign time
once again. Looks like the cops, and the guys who will taking them away through background checks, the FBI, were complicit in letting the last shooter act out. Part of the job. I wonder why....

Why do they call its a suspected carjacking and not attempted murder? Since you seem confident he was trying to kill the guy? Are all suspected criminals now fine to be shot dead? If I think you stole something from a shop can I just shoot you... because hey, you probably have a concealed gun.

Just to clarify here, It wasn't attempted murder because the suspect didn't pull the trigger. But if someone sticks a gun in my face and I'm armed, then I'm not exactly going to wait to see if he'll shoot first. And why would I think all suspected criminals are fine to be shot dead? They refer to him as the suspect because they legally have to. The victim is cooperating with police which implies he has nothing to hide about the fact he was indeed being carjacked. And why would you assume the suspect's gun was concealed? He was attempting to steal a car with the owner of the car in it. I think it's safe to assume his gun was being brandished.

For all you in this thread that think a person should just give their property to those that would forcibly take it, or take anything that’s not theirs, can I have all your stuff?

Seriously? A criminal attempts a violent crime and the person who defended themselves is the bad guy?

Here’s a thought...keep your #ing hands to yourself and off the property of others and you won’t get #ing shot!

They are virtue signaling. This is their way of fitting in, by enabling criminality
as a way of making things more egalitarian. This is supposed to be Ok with us. This is a Bolshevik tactic
to get the ball rolling toward material worship and redistribution as a form of worship. God becomes a laughing stock, and is then outlawed for a few generations. Same crap as usual.

Remember when a girl macheted an Uber driver? One of these virtue signalers suggested that
it would not have happened if this girl had more money, lol. She has money for car travel. She just bought a machete, then she used it, probably premeditated. Spending money is gonna cure that? Holy soupy #...

You can't, its against the law and if found you will be arrested and the rightful owner will be compensated.

Lets just hope you never approach my car because if so I'll suspect you of trying to steal from me and shoot first.

Lets all just shoot first and decide later if a crime was being committed. Why do we need law enforcement at all, lets all just individual decide what we think is right or wrong and shoot accordingly.

Wow, Americans really are the cavemen of the modern era.

You do realize what carjacking is? It is NOT merely approaching a car. It is the act of using force to intimidate the victim and steal their car, usually with a pistol whipping or other severe violence. Sometimes they even steal them like this with babies and small children in the car. Perhaps you like being a victim of such crime...most of us don’t.

Can you answer the question in my previous post. Soz forgot to question mark it.

Because a vast majority of the citizenry are sheep, sucking at the teat of their government? Or maybe because it’s pretty much a socialist country that does not believe in individual rights?

When you have to give everything you own to the government so they can redistribute wealth, not much left for others to steal.

America = Apples (and Patriots of a Republic)...Canada = Oranges (and Socialists). Nothing to compare...

A 21 year old man who is a SUSPECT is shot dead and you say good.. Well I guess innocent until proven guilty doesn't apply to you guys..

Not really when u try to carjack someone.

Idiot should have waited till rush hour?

Mofo won't be jackin no one anymore.

So car jacking is now a crime punishable by death in America now.. What's next cutting the hands of thieves and stoning woman to death..

If you use a gun to commit a crime, you are open to any and all repercussions that come with the package. When you point a gun at someone, (as all gun owners know, because they are trained that way) you intend to destroy what it's pointed at. If it's pointed at you, the person holding the weapon has decided that his life is up for grabs, and the guy with the fastest draw and best aim will win.

If you don't like this person being shot and killed, perhaps you should spend your online efforts seeking out the would be car jackers, and ask them to not use a gun to commit their crime.

now please, clean up all that blood from your bleeding heart.

My opinion on the matter....GOOD!

Something very wrong if you think its correct to take a life for a lump of metal.
the problem with that is, the "suspected" carjacker was armed. if a stranger is pointing a gun at you, it's safe to assume they will use it, and they usually do. good for the victim for killing that piece of #. if would of asked for a ride rather than threatening the mans life, he might still be alive.

This is amazing.

An armed thug shows up, threatens you while trying to take your property and anything you do to defend yourself is wrong.

If someone, weapon in hand, threatens another person why are we talking about due process? The guy with the weapon doing the threatening has skipped over due process. We are now in the domain of an innocent citizen protecting themselves.

This whole slobber about the death penalty for car jacking is sophistry. How did the the guy getting robbed know he wasn't going to get killed? Or is that where the "due process" comes in? He has to wait until the thug shoots or doesn't shoot? Ah...I now can determine your true intent. Tally-Ho Good Sir!

My thoughts on this matter often careen into the impossible-to-prove-but-I-know-it's-true. If we were back in the caveman days, what would the tribe think of someone displaying this level of idiocy? What use would they be? Even later in time, the same holds. Think Neville Chamberlain. Think the UN debating what "genocide" means. I'll see my way out now.

You're NOT innocent when you're pointing a gun at me demanding my car.
You're making me fear for my life, and I'm allowed by to stop your threats with lethal force.

He proved beyond any shadow of a doubt by the act he committed that he was GUILTY. He proved it directly to his victim at the time the crime occurred. You don't get to go before a court in a case like that. No court is necessary.

Carjacker: "Excuse me sir, I'm stealing your car and I might kill you, but you can't defend yourself with that loaded gun you have aimed at me because I deserve to have a jury trial first to let a judge decide if the crime I am committing against you should be punished."

How dumb is that?

Every time I see somebody present a story where some individual manages to stop a criminal because they were armed, I always think about stories you hear about somebody with cancer who only eats beets or pineapple or something who is "miraculously cured" by a technique TPTB don't want you to know about.

Thing is, people sometimes go into remission for no reason, and sometimes a guy gets off a lucky shot. That is not usually the case. They're anecdotes. I was an Expert Marksman in the Air Force, and sure, I like to think that I would be Quick Draw McGraw and get a bad guy right between the eyes with my shootin' iron, but studies show that your best bet is still going to be running like hell when you have the chance, if you even get one.

I watched video a few days ago of a criminal who robbed a store where a mother and daughter were the managers. Guy came in with a pump shotgun and demanded money. The daughter opened the cash drawer. The mother came from behind the robber with a revolver (probably .38) and shot the robber 1-2 times. Robber began to chase her around, grabber her gun, and wrestled it from her. Daughter retrieved her gun, shot the guy several times, and the guy was still after them. Mom took some pretty good licks from the robber. Even though shot multiple times, robber escaped and went to hospital, where he was arrested. My sister is a police officer of many years experience. She told me they are trained to keep shooting until the suspect stops moving. Seeing the video of the store robbery makes me believe my sister's training makes sense.
