Russia has always been seen as a threat to the Western leaders, since the Revolution, the elite could never allow Communism to flourish, the only
reason the average person in the West has had a reasonable standard of living, is simply because the western elite were scared that the same thing
could happen to them. So instead of letting them get on with it the whole focus of the Russian economy was engaged in an intergenerational arms race.
When the Soviet Union collapsed, so did the standard of living for the Western middle class. Because they thought that the threat was removed. Then
when it was too late they realized, that Russia and China were still basically Red.
Strong central leadership has always been their culture, all they had to do was to address the food supply issues, which was done with modern
management practices. So as far as day to day living goes their is no difference , between living in the Russian Federation and America. So why the
problem with Russia? its simply the one percent that actually control Western politics want to control Russia as well. Generally speaking people in
Russia are fairly happy with the status quo, they don't seem to want to emigrate to America anymore. So destabilization wont work anymore, and the old
ways of sending dissenters to Siberia are not needed anymore, unless they want to go for the money. The game has changed and the Western elite don't
realize it yet.
