Not many that the religion itself promotes it.

Should Freedom of Religion be extended to this Satanic Temple?

Yes. /thread

You really didn't need to type anything else.

PS: The Satanic Temple is atheist. They don't actually worship the Christian adversary (the translation from Hebrew for Satan).

Same goes for the “Church of Satan”; the government cannot endorse one religion over another, regardless of your sensibilities.

This is garbage spewed from a non-believer. When you actually believe in God,

Which god? I’m assuming your specific flavor of Christianity which was determined by the geographical locus of your birth and not by the virtue of any scripture.

the thought of government supporting, advocating or even tolerating the great deceiver and father of all lies and murder becomes an abomination.

Likewise, in my view, promoting Christianity exclusively on the tax payers dime and on their time violates the First amendment. Whether you like the opposing view or not has little relevance to the question of whether or not excluding the Satanic Temple from participating in these meetings. You have to allow all faiths to participate or none. You can’t favor a specific denomination of Xhristianity to the detriment of all other denominations or any other faith that exists. Being palatable to you as a Christian isn’t part of the criteria for passing muster under the auspices if 1A

Government does have the duty to do the right right things and supporting Satanism by allowing a Satanic prayer in government is just plain wrong.

It’s no more wrong than allowing only Christian prayers or prayers led by a specific denomination. It’s all ornine under 1A. If you want the right to worship you have to extend that to any other group.

Do you know that Satanists perform human sacrifices? And that they perform Satanic ritual abuse upon children?

I’ve never sacrificed a human and have never harmed a child. I can’t say the same for the upper echelons of most Christian denominations. The entire “Satanic Panic” of the 80’s and 90’s is complete hokum. It’s a fictitious narrative with no substantive basis in reality.

Look it up, there are plenty of murder trials, and abuse trials, and the like where Satanism was involved.

It’s your claim. The onus now lies with you to support that claim with appropriate citations. It’s not up to others to do your homework for you.

Why? I am guessing you're ok with prayers to the Christian God, the one who obliterates the world of all life whenever his petulant arrogance wants, commits multiple acts of genocide and ritual abuse. And you have a problem with people praying to Satan??

And Christians have killed hundreds of thousands. So have Muslims. And practically ever other faith or religion.

What's your point? That the murders are 'ok' when performed by your God but not someone else's?

You have a much better chance of contacting supernatural entities with a Ouija board rather than prayers.

Besides, what is a City Council praying for anyway? "Dear God, please help us find additional funds in the city budget for street repair. Amen."

Any of you who think that any god is comparable to the Christian God has a very rude awaking coming. Life is short.

The government is the people running the government. If the people elect Satanists then they maybe can consider it, otherwise no.

Laugh it up with your Creator when you look Him in the face. Satan is real as you and me, and the sooner you realize that, the better off you will be.

That’s nice, study the constitution a little.

I will keep the Bible over the constitution. The constitution is a lie. You think you are free? You need permission to build on your own property. You must pay for the right to own that property. Your sworn servants in government make a better claim to the fruits OF YOUR LABOR than you do. The Bible contains the truth, the constitution is something tyrants point at and say 'see, you're free!'.

And yes, this organization is doing exactly his bidding.

They're not the only ones:

I hope they outlaw all forms of religious expression in public discourse! It is delusional human expression guiding public policy. That is incredibly stupid and insane! I'm sorry but playing make-believe is no basis for collective government!

And Christians have killed hundreds of thousands. So have Muslims. And practically ever other faith or religion.

Well, there is 1 historically proven exception, especially at times when the others are under pressure and manipulated to ignore the biblical commandment: "Thou shalt not kill" (such as during both World Wars or the so-called "War on Terror", the long desired perpetual war by those who profit from it, not just financially). For that, they are pariahs to the hypocrites who are only peaceful in word, not in practice.

Song 141 Searching for Friends of Peace (with lyrics)

2 Corinthians 10:3

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage warfare* [Lit., “we are not doing military service.”; Lat., non . . . mi·li·taʹmus]. according to what we are in the flesh.

Or they are pariahs to the hypocrites who only respect the Constitution in word, not in practice; the 1st Amendment also covers the subjects of "free speech" and "compelled speech" (since 1943) such as the pledge of allegiance:

The Supreme Court has determined that the First Amendment also protects citizens from being compelled to say or pay for certain speech. For example, in West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette (1943), the Supreme Court ruled that school children could not be punished for refusing either to say the pledge of allegiance or salute the American flag.

Pardon the racist title below, not my choice, the video itself does make a useful point though, who is doing the brainwashing again?

Persecution of a peaceable people

It's called nationalism what these kids are being brainwashed with by the way.

Nationalism is well described by the psalmist’s expression, “the pestilence causing adversities.” (Psalm 91:3) It has been like a plague on humanity, leading to untold suffering. Nationalism with its resultant hatred of other peoples has existed for centuries. Today, nationalism continues to fan the flames of divisiveness, and human rulers have not been able to stop it.

Many authorities recognize that nationalism and self-interest are the root of the world’s problems. For example, former United Nations Secretary-General U Thant observed: “So many of the problems that we face today are due to, or the result of, false attitudes . . . Among these is the concept of narrow nationalism—‘my country, right or wrong.’”
