While I think it's fair to say people like this women are a minority, they are a growing minority and there is a reason to worry about nutjobs like this. Why did Trudeau recently burn a young women for using the word "mankind" and suggest we should instead use "peoplekind"? Is it not important even if the Prime Minister of a nation is encouraging these stupid word games? These people are dangerous because often portray themselves are representatives of SJW causes and so other SJW's follow their example and if you oppose these ridiculous ideas you get labeled as far-right or some nonsense. how do you know it wasn't women who discovered how to make fire? I mean, they were the ones more than likely that were in charge of the cooking... it would make sense that they were the fire keepers...
but, well, you can tell even by some of the threads on ATS, the centuries of having MAN being used to mean both sexes has had an effect on the human psyche... it seems that some seem to think that women had no significant contributions to humanities progress outside of bearing and caring for their male children. and, I think that if I did waste my time digging to find the sliver of truth in this story, it would probably be something akin to that and not that feminists want to go changing the names of cities or the entire dictionary to eliminate the word man from it.
