Reports of shoes containing severed feet being found on coastal beaches in the Pacific Northwest have been in the media for more than a decade. Perhaps some (or even most) of these have logical explanations such as boating accidents, but MAYBE it is something sinister? I picture some gangster threatening to cut off an underling's Nike for sneaking a peek at his significant other's behind

Note to self: don't wear runners when going boating.

Sandals: ok.
Surf-socks: ok.
Loose fishing boots: ok.
Flip-flops: ok.
Kicks: no-no-no!

I can't seem to find it but I would like to - just to compare.

It's still an awful thing - and IMO not quite the natural course of events.

I can't imagine what they'd name this 'serial killer' - if there be one.

I know, it's creepy, I just checked out a piece of land and there was a pair of women's shoes, that looked like someone was pulled out of them, they were fairly new and clean, placed neatly, and the liners were slipped out at the heels like someone was pulled out of them. About called the cops.

I think this is just a current based situation, like the giant, disgusting trash island out in the middle of the ocean.

I bet there's some feet in this place

The reasoning makes sense but it makes me wonder why no feet wash up on the East Coast, or in Southern California, etc.. I've lived near the Atlantic Ocean my entire life (50 yrs) and never heard of a foot washing up on the Cape or any where else. Just strange.

Unless it has to do with which way the currents flow?

Gulf stream maybe. Plus the weather moves offshore in the east.

I happen to live South of there on the Wa coast. This seems to happen from time to time around here. I just hope that I'm not the one to find one of these. We had an issue with a fary go under a few weeks ago. There are likely to be some more in the near future.

I've followed this mystery over the years. Possible that this lays to rest, that the majority of these aren't from the Pacific Ocean by means of a tsunami in the past but rather local. Now if more of these can be identified, such as in the OP, for closure of people missing, from capsized boats and suicides to missing people cases.

Also that, would wager these feet attached shoes are found from the ligaments decaying over time rather than a percentage of killers and or killers cutting up the bodies as the sneakers float. Not to say it doesn't happen around there, as with other places, there's been about two cases in recent years where killers were disposing a body as such but neither case had to do with dumping the parts in Puget Sound, or that is known about.

The currents push sea debris to Alaska, BC, Washington, and the upper North Pacific Northwest. They tracked this when some Chinese rubber duckies went overboard during a storm. They then found the Gyres of plastic and trash in the North Pacific.

Debris from the 2011 tsunami also hit BC and AK.

These severed feet threads remind me the missing 411 stuff. Nobody is paying attention. I wonder who these people are missing limbs.

As a Criminal Minds fan... just saying that the limbs seem to be mostly Caucasian.
