I don’t really feel sorry for her, because she had to have known he was a jerk when she married him. I think she married him for the money. That’s fine, I don’t care - but don’t expect me to feel bad for you when he acts like the jerk you already know he is.

I doubt she expects you to feel sorry for her.
I am sure she'd be quite horrified in fact.

I doubt we’ll ever meet, so I don’t think it’s an issue.

Sorry friend, but a first lady has no power just like you or me. Her opinion does not matter cause she has no way to enforce it(power).

I am an outsider on politics but like to delve into arguments sometimes. I believe you are wrong on this topic. She is a nobody.

Legally, perhaps. But I doubt more than a handful of select people have POTUS's ear/attention more-so than Melania. She's been working on a variety of issues important to Americans.

And people here want to talk about cyber bullying? Look at what the rabid reactionary crowd did to poor Barron Trump? At 11 years old, no less. Chelsea Clinton of all people had to stand up for him - at least someone showed some strength of character here. Despicable!

I was going to make a comment about how the OP should just make comments about how Michelle is a man, but you guys beat me to it.

Stay classy.

She didn't run for public office....she owes us nothing. And apparently she has plenty to do for her own family.

Melania Trump has represented our country gracefully and impressively as a delegate when traveling with her husband and when hosting dignitaries at the White House. She is an intelligent, elegant woman. She is beautiful, yet she does not try to hog the attention.

She does not try to be something she is not, or try to act like she is more important than she is. Being a first lady does automatically make someone more worthy than others to control what other should think or eat, etc. Some first ladies have abused their position to claim some kind of "power" that is not theirs to claim. Melania does not do that. I respect her for that.

My thoughts exactly BlueAjah
Clearly shows she has a lot going on upstairs, because it would be far too easy to simply rely on her appearance and take the path of least resistance. To me that is true intelligence. And class, for that matter. Something too many have forgotten about entirely

I will never understand the hate for Melania, Barron, Ivanka, Tiffany, Eric, DJTJR, etc. It is one thing to disagree with the President's policies, and entirely another to viciously attack their family/friends and even supporters simply because they support Trump/voted Trump. Terrible day

I think Melania is intelligent and classy. But Trump out screwing porn stars when Melania was giving birth to Barron....Not so much!

But what do I know, I'm just a taxpayer...

When your husband is the most flamboyant person this side of Denis Rodman you get used to being in the shadows. Secondly, what's the upside? In today's political climate she could do everything right and still get # on. See this thread for conformation. Lastly, where is it written that the FL has to do anything?

From an outsider i sort of get the impression that if she did do something or say something, it would be all wrong anyway, granted that the last First lady done some stupid things but i have yet to see Mrs trump bring the USA into crazy arguments. Is that a good thing or a bad thing??????

Am I missing something here? Is the presidents wife obligated to do something? If not, what's the big deal?

How do you know he is a jerk? He could be the greatest dad/husband a woman could find. A good number of people that have worked for him say he is one of the best bosses a person could wish for, so I wouldn't believe all the hype.

No you are right. Until this partisan hate speech reared its ugly head it was always an unwritten rule that elected officials spouses, kids and family were off limits as attacking or criticizing them is so bigoted and disgusting. Times have changed for the worse it seems and both sides are stooping to new lows now.

The good news is, in real life most everyone is disgusted by this crap and not a part of it. The Internet just makes it seem like a lot of people are like that, they are not of course. I think some doing it actually think it makes them look cool or something. If they only knew
