That´s my line of thinking, too. It just does not make sense technically. Maybe some kind of law that it can´t be "live" bs and 20 minutes delay is not "live".

If it streams, the bandwith is there, so no excuse for a twenty minute delay EXCEPT this situation:

CCTV can´t stream so single files are send and those files could be too huge for the connection. But I doubt it.

Why is the CCTV even delayed twenty (20!!) minutes? It´s like delaying a firealarm, it just does not make sense/compute.

Yep. Crazy ain't it?

Did I even respond to you?.
We can all think we will be the hero when it needs to be but that is a fantasy human emotions kick in a fight or flight reflex.
Not one of us could say without a doubt we would have acted differently.

Waiting until it's over is not trying to contain the situation. He didn't even attempt to save anyones life.

I already experienced life or death situations and i never froze. Granted it was my own life that was in jeopardy but still i would do the same for everyone of you without any hesitation.

Bit harsh that.
I have seen the bravest freeze up in certain situations and the weakest step up in others.
We were not there in his shoes he will have to judge himself that is enough.

For whatever reason, he failed.

He took the job, he accepted the responsibility.

And he failed.

These aren't opinions.

They're facts.

Obviously, he was no Aaron Feis, (slain football coach) who ran towards the danger in order to save the students he served. Bless his soul, he had no gun, only his body. Only 37 years old and had a family, yet he threw himself forward to protect. He did not sign up for that...but diligently served the students well.

Unless you want kids to burn in a fire.

It's a toughy.

Like I said, he'll have problems.

Let's see if and how the MSM run with this.

Snap it is part of my job but again why being so defensive when I didn't even respond to you?.
I know the fight or flight reflex you can claim to be all big and hard but one day If you keep on being in certain situations you do feck up you do freeze it is part of human nature, sure you can harden up like I have I see assaults every working day I have to deal with them and they are traumatic to all involved.
But I aint going to call anyone a coward for freezing up.

Yes it would seem he is a bad choice for a job with a badge and a gun. He was aware as he was filmed waiting at the door until the gun fire stopped. He is also eligible for retirement since he resigned, I think he should be eligible for any lawsuits that should arise

When it's part of your job hell yes i'll call you a coward. Like i said he signed up for the job to protect students. He was armed and i hope properly trained as well.

How about a two block safe zone for schools like they do for the president.

Just like they do with federal buildings

When people approach they have to go through armed cops and cameras on them

Also, have the police, not rent a guards control the schools security

F#cking coward. Why accepting the job in the first place if you're to afraid to protect the pupils when it happens? Give the job to veterans because they clearly care and can handle such situations.

So, are you an advocate for arming teachers and if yes do you think they will also freeze in a shooting situation ?

If my job was to do be the line of defense in case of an attack, I'd probably be terrible at it.

I'm a huge sissy. I hate violence.

That's why my job is to paint tans on gingers so they can fool society.

Not being security.

He was a sworn Deputy with the local sheriff's office so not a rent a cop. Just unwilling to do what he swore to do. Sad, especially since he will get retirement pay out of resigning
