Alex Van Der Zwaan, a London-based attorney and the son-in-law of
Russian oligarch German Khan, has been charged with lying to investigators
working for special counsel Robert Mueller's office,

The lawyer is accused of misleading investigators about the last time he talked with Richard Gates, who was indicted in October with ex-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort over their consulting work in Ukraine. Van Der Zwaan was questioned by U.S. authorities regarding his firm’s work in 2012 on behalf of the Ukraine Ministry of Justice.

Van Der Zwaan told investigators that his last contact with Gates was an innocuous text message in mid-August 2016, when they actually spoke the following month about the Tymoshenko report in a call the lawyer secretly recorded, the information says.

Prosecutors also accused Van Der Zwaan of lying about his talks with someone else, identified by the government as Person A. The lawyer told investigators he last spoke with Person A in 2014, when in fact they spoke in September 2016 during the secretly recorded call with Gates.

www.bloomberg.com...

What is interesting is that Khan and two other Moscow-based investors
have already sued Fusion GPS and Buzzfeed for libel last year claiming
damage to reputations by the gossip filled dossier.

This just looks more and more like there is an agenda with
The Special Counsel,to protect the Obama Administration
in using the dossier to get the FISA warrant.

Here again we have what could be tainted
motives, along with a tainted FISA warrant.

I suppose time will tell.

This is breaking, I will add more as time rolls by

These people really are stoopid. I'm starting to feel better about Jeff Sessions. The Mueller 'investigation' is being outed as a cover-up for the treasonous crimes committed by players in the last admin.

If you want a clearer understanding of the machinations to take down some deep state players, then I suggest spending an hour or so at the website linked here. They lay it out pretty good and clarify what we're seeing on the surface.

For starters; Leakin' Adam Schiff-less Most Likely Busted

The OIG report is central and has spun off other avenues that might actually bear fruit for once. This is going to get GOOD.

I think Sessions has his lights on, you know they
say you always need to be careful about the
quiet ones.

Sessions is already investigating The FISA
warrant application, and The FBI role.

Jeff Sessions: Justice Department
Investigating FBI Role in Dossier FISA Warrant

And Schiff, well he had a chance to get his
side in with an interview with Nunes, but
he chose to stay in the back shadows

And I wonder how much of this latest
with Khan will tie back to other figures
that are linked to FBI McCabe, who is
nypost.com..." target="_blank" class="postlink" rel="nofollow">currently under a DOJ Investigation

Some of McCabe works that are really
sketchy in terms of dirt.

FBI Agents accused McCabe of interfering with Russian-linked investigations, including the Boston Marathon terror bombing and the Robert Levinson kidnapping cases, even making a formal complaint with FBI Security Division about the incidents.

McCabe for years worked Russian organized crime in New York for the FBI, previous to his Washington D.C. rise. He led the FBI’s Eurasian Organized Crime Task Force, a joint operation with the NYPD.

While in New York, McCabe worked in tandem with Bruce Ohr, the recently demoted DOJ official linked to the Trump fake dossier who often coordinated with McCabe’s Russian organized crime task force. Ohr worked Organized Crime too for DOJ. Ohr’s wife Nellie worked for Fusion GPS and previously worked for the CIA.

McCabe maintained an alliance with Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska a tycoon and close associate of Vladimir Putin. And McCabe apparently met with him in Europe without proper clearance from FBI, while Deripaska was a possible target on a FBI organized crime probe. McCabe also privately acknowledged to FBI agents that Deripaska was a friend.

Yes, this is the same Deripaska who was trumpeted as part of Mueller’s recent Paul Manafort indictment. If Manafort’s connections to Deripaska’s billions helped indict him, why didn’t McCabe’s associations with the oligarch warrant similar investigation by the very man, Mueller, who slammed Manafort?

During McCabe’s liaisons with Deripaska, Strzok was running the FBI’s Post-Adjudication Risk Management plan, or PARM, a program initiated to catch problematic and criminal associations of FBI agents. Strzok and PARM should have snagged McCabe’s Russian associations, especially Deripaska. Many agents were fired for far less, under the stringent internal program. Where was Strzok’s oversight of McCabe or did Strzok simply look the other way?

CIA officials looked at McCabe’s Russian contacts, especially Deripaska, fearing a possible data breach like convicted FBI spy Robert Hanssen.

Obama Counsel

Manafort was involved in recruiting Skadden to prepare the report on behalf of Ukraine, according to documents reviewed by Bloomberg News. The Skadden team was headed by Gregory Craig, a partner who had worked as President Barack Obama’s White House counsel from 2009 to 2010 and for President Bill Clinton during his impeachment.

Don't forget now. The last administration DID pull some snip in Ukraine during all that shenanigans.

Or maybe he's driving home the point that he won't be lied to during this investigations. If you do, there will be consequences, it's clear.

So far the people he's accused of lying, were, and have admitted to it, so he's not making frivolous allegations and charges.

I find it interesting every new link to Obama and Hillary's lawlessness lead to a string of indictments and evidence destruction.

How about we demand straight up transparency with these investigations? Real time, live body cam coverage of these nimrods, with phone call transcripts, text message content and expense accounting also in real time.

It would take 3-4 days until it would be crystal clear all these schmucks are doing is covering ass.

Should I not assume most people know the nature of this investigation?

The nature, yes. Most people know the nature of this investigation.
However they don't realize it's not really an investigation per se: it's finding out how bad the Democrats are exposed, and making sure they have enough time to destroy the evidence.

Good catch Neo!

Why wasn't Obama scrutinized for his ties
to Russia? Also why didn't Obama do something
while he was in office about the 16 Russian Trolls?

Like stealing the election from Trump.

These gestapo tactics are pretty clear.

Manufacturing criminals.

Question. Why is it then, that Mueller, who is a republican, and selected by republicans and all the other people who are investigating these issues at the request of republicans, and who are mostly republicans, are trying to protect democrats? And in what universe does that make sense?

Mueller is as republican as Paul Ryan. That isn't saying much. They are bought and paid for regardless of what color tie they wear. Mueller has been close with Comey and McCabe for a long while- which is exactly why he is "investigating".

No different than many who claim to be good Christian people on Sunday . But then lie cheat and steal the other 6 days of the week.

Oh, no doubt he is using small process crimes to create
a circus show on the international scene.

We will see, it looks like Flynn is going to challenge
some of the evidence, so we have to wait and find out.

McCabe has been caught witholding evidence in the way
of interview forms used by the FBI known as 302's.

Disgraced FBI Agent Peter Strzok was caught and demoted
after his texts were found by The DOJ IG. His texts
revealed that McCabe and others were involved in
withholding evidence from Congress, and indicates
evidence was altered.

If Flynn was set up by McCabe, who is under a DOJ investigation
now....the whole case could end up thrown out.

Not only that, we have Judge Sullivan reviewing the guilty plea from Flynn- which leads me to believe he suspects that Flynn plead guilty not because he's guilty, but because there is more to this story that has yet to be revealed.
People plead guilty all the time when they aren't - so why is it in this case that it's a nail in the coffin?

Indeed. Likely the "Insurance Policy" McCabe
and Strzok and Page cooked up in Andy's office.
