I don't want them to force a gay character in just to have a gay character. That said the relationship between Wiccan and Hulkling is a key part of Young Avengers so it would be dumb to exclude it. Same goes for America Chavez if they ever introduce her in the movies. Her sexuality is a big part of her character.

And if they continue Runaways past next season then odds are they're going to introduce Xavin. In which case then we will have a character that is technically transgender.

I was specifically talking about the portrayal of homosexual characters in their shows and movies. Like I said, I won't be surprised if we get a Young Avengers movie in the next few years. It seems like we may be moving towards an Avengers Disassembled scenario after Avengers 4.

Um, this is a superhero movie that has nothing to do with the Black Panther Party. In fact the superhero predates them. You may want to get your facts straight before jumping on your soapbox.

And the black people who say whites should not have an opinion about the movie are racist. Technically it's about Superhero's and I'm sure no one is a Superhero, so in their mind no one should be able to have an option about a Superhero movie unless they ARE one!!

You can’t clutch at pearls if you know what you’re talking about.

Personally as a comic book fan of far too many years I look forward often with trepidation about super hero stuff, they often don't make a decent crossover from comics with some exceptions. When BP was announced I thought, hmm pretty minor Marvel character but lets see the trailer, I liked the trailer and I liked the introduction the character had in Captain America Civil War but since then the HYPE has been at volume 11 as has the attempt to make the film about Black Americans, I seriously wish film companies would not push agenda's that are divisive. Sadly instead of the film being a fantasy romp about comic book characters the Facebook etc crowd have turned it in to utter nonsense. One person posts a lie and its jumped on as being 100% true with no checking, one of the many reasons I detest social media.

So what if one guy wasn't super hot about the film, its personal opinion.

There's been many first claimed for BP that are rubbish, its also no going to change the social status of America, its a bloody film, go and enjoy it or not.

I've not seen it, the CGI looks incredible at times and darn right cheap especially in the movement of BP in costume, Wakanda looks gorgeous sadly unlike the shanty towns of real Africa. Yes its nice to see ANOTHER black super hero film, looking forward to the relaunch of Blade but I just want to see super heroes of all colours and creeds given a decent flick but take Justice League, they manage to screw up the predominantly white character films tooo.

I'm not a movie go-er, too much nonsense going on in the theatre's rather than watching the film, I'll wait for the Blu Ray and see what I think of it, hoping to be entertained by BP...

Was it the same trolls that made up the story about the Miami shooter being a White Nationalist?

That was a guy on the 4Chan Board.
The shooter wasn't officially a White Nationalist, just a self-declared Hitler/Nazi lover with a tonnage race hate posts.

Though I'll admit this is rather stupid...
But let's not forget it was the left that started this victim playing game.

Every other week I read about some poor person suffering only to find out they were in fact the perpetrator.

If people weren't forcing their political ideology on others via movies this wouldn't be an issue. I don't care if the director and the majority of the cast is black. I care if it is a good movie that holds true to the universe. Sadly people seem more concerned with the former. To call a movie good simple because of skin color is a bit disingenuous. Mainly to the people involved. But the left is good at playing disingenuous lip service...

The Black Panther actually has more in common with the alt-right than anything. A extreme nationalists who prefers his country with minimal diversity and closed borders. Yet leftists can't see the hypocrisy in skin color trumping character.

The right loves this gobbly gook "controversy" just as much. They'll get millions of hits about how liberalism is ruining the country with SJW movies. Both left and right extremes are taking center stage, but most normal people don't share these opinions. Stop giving the Alex jones crew or the oversensitive SJW bloggers views and we can all enjoy a silly fun superhero movie. Media will continue to blow these non-stories up until we stop caring about them.

Your argument would hold weight if it was a bad movie that was getting good reviews. But it really is the one of the best Marvel movies. I mean we finally have a well-developed villain that is actually better than their comic counterpart.

? The threat of socialism should never be minimized, normalized or legitimized through glorification in mass media/movies.

Senator McCarthy? I thought you were dead.

Well, when I heard the story as a kid in History class I was all in. Going "yea that is one stupid guy, McCarthy".

Now, I am going oh crap there really were Marxist working after all and he was showing us the tip of the iceberg.

Commie fascist were in Hollywood to influence us to change socially. The only idea they brought to the table that wasn't for the wrong reasons was teaching folks to stop hating their/our neighbors. Everything else was straight of the "Communist Manifesto" and now Alinsky's "Rule for Radicals" is the playbook.

Since the public wasn't ready for their 'stars' to be Marxist, the folks back home just didn't want to believe McCarthy. Those without a clue cannot figure out what is being done to them and therefore the oligarchs decided to dumb down the citizenry on purpose. Henry Kissinger told us the plan on 60 minutes was to bring up the rest of the world by balancing out the US (I recall by financially weakening the US and through academia were the way Nixon's aid Kissinger put it). We were 'too far ahead'. I prefer to help the others up and not go send society backwards to meet them.

Just like the SJW's of today, the people making a verb out of the Senator McCarthy's name were getting their cues from the media. Back then, people 'trusted' the media way more than today on such important matters. People rarely challenged the Brinkley's and Cronkite's "nightly news" back then and now it turns out they should not have trusted them to tell us 'the truth' because it was what they were told to tell us and not the truth.

This is so Orwellian.

I had to log in and post a response on this. I have a few things to say about the movie.

I haven’t seen it because I stopped watching movies altogether awhile back. However, I seem to remember back in the 90’s how no one gave the Wesley Snipes Blade movies a second glance. In fact, my friends and I were like, “hell yeah!”, throughout the whole series.

This is a societal issue. People are at each other’s throats over some corny superhero movie. Hello! It’s supposed to be entertainment!

My thoughts... society is circling the drain and it is by design. I find it utterly ridiculous that any black person would equate this movie with some sort of lost history or something that could’ve been.

Who raised these people (people on both sides of this ridiculous argument)? No one did, that’s the problem. We have too much time on our hands and too much technology if people are bent out of shape over fictional entertainment.

The underlying theme is transhumanism that they’re trying to fill your head with, but that somehow escapes people mired in a childish argument over perceived racism or appropriation. There is nothing new under the sun.

I find it all ridiculous. It’s like asking which is better, Star Wars or Star Trek. The answer isn’t important, it’s just entertainment, people!

Where do people get off doing these things?

They want to keep the people divided. Does that surprise you?

As for me, I personally don't care who says what about the Black Panther. I have loved comics since I was young. I will be seeing this movie, and I will love it because I love that genre. It is Superhero's dude. Who care's what color they are? Only the government and Hollywood as far as I can tell, and the one's they lead around.

It's all fun and games right?

"Black Panther" was meant to bring people together — but trolls are using the milestone movie to divide people.

A number of social media users have shared images of actual women who have been assaulted and wrote that the incidents happened at "Black Panther" movies at the hands of young black people — which have been proved to be false.

one image, a user shared an actual photo of former White House staffer Rob Porter's ex-wife sporting a black eye with the caption: "Went to the #BlackPanther premier tonight and my wife was assaulted. Three black women approached us and one said 'This movie ain't for you white b****' and then attacked her. Security escorted us to the parking lot and we left. We just wanted to see a movie."

Warning: graphic images in the twitter posts.

Where do people get off doing these things? Seriously? And who's to bet these of political ideologues purposefully trying to flame up something major? Some of the images posted of these supposed assualt victims have been identified as victims of totally different events prior. The use of Rob Porter's ex-wife's image is interesting. Wonder if the culprit had any idea? Obviously not.

This isn't a once off thing you know? It seems to be a pattern. This one got caught early in the game.

and how about this ideologues, aka zealots, rant

ignorant racist fool , if he wants to bark like a dog at people instead of acting like a human , then let him!

funny how they completely ignore the similarity between the statements made by wukanda tribal leaders
and Ashley montagu's Unesco speech give on the equality of mankind an anti racial science statement when racial theory became popular around the time of Darwins origin of the species etc One of co-operation between the ethnic groups of humanity.

instead the blogger focuses on "barking" at white people to shut them up

Sometimes people can’t tell the difference between their own paranoia and the truth, I’m starting to see how racism works. A group of conservatives make up a story about how black people are beating up moviegoers, therefore causing other conservatives to believe its true. This causes a fear or hatred of blacks that is based on nothing in reality.

I think the best thing to do is weed out disinformation like this on both sides and realize not everyone falls for it.

Or just disconnect from social media and dont watch mainstream media networks!
it's all bull#

the world would do well to re-learn all of the stuff that was committed through racism during WW2

youd think that we would never let that happen again , but yet it happened right there in the United states

science made great attempts to destroy the negative racial theories cutting about pre / post WW2
