No it's not anything like the Pink Panther.

Marvel Studios‘ “Black Panther” is being hailed as the most diverse superhero movie in Hollywood history, but it’s not diverse enough for some progressives who want to know: Where are all the gay characters?

We now return to your regularly scheduled program.

To be fair the lack of gay characters in Marvel's shows and movies is pretty glaring. Other than Karolina in Runaways I can't think of a single one.

My guess is that gets remedied in Phase 4 or 5 with a Young Avengers movie.

How would YOU KNOW You've only been a member since 8-12-2016!?

Don't be so sure. In the heat of posting someone called me a Russian bot here. After having been downsized under Obama regime, I've been out of work and I assure you no income has come my way except from doing my own business that doesn't include payment for posting. Ha, if only! I'd be rich here.

Since I support Trump people assume I'm racist too, but that is untrue. I don't judge people by their skin color. I let God do the judging of people. Oh, now the Christian haters here will dump on me for saying that. Sigh.

Being against the movie because it's lack of gay characters is a bit like the pot calling the kettle black. Number one, there probably were Gay actors in the movie, Number Two, discriminating against a movie because it didn't meet your quota system is just as discriminatory as what you are railing against. Don't be so exclusionary! Make your own movie then!

And don't forget the transgenders. I suppose that's next on your list. And how about a Marvel lead that is gender binary! The list could go on and on. You just prove that you want to discriminate for your own reasons. Discriminating for inclusion or exclusion is all the same. It's sexist and racist.

How about treating everyone the same no matter the shell we wear!? What a novel idea!!!

We went through this same nonsense when Ghost in the Shell movie cast Scarlet Johanssen. Lunatic checklist self righteous zealots judging the casting of the movies!

as for ghost in the shell , motoko kusanagi has multiple shells so she can be white european , yucatan mayan , egyptian , male or female !
so its fine to use a white female american actress ! fans of the manga should know that !

And Aye I totally agree, why does a characters gender or sexual preference need to be included in the movie ?
oh yeh because every movie is about identity !
funny when have of the planet dont even #ing know who they are !

"Black Panther" was meant to bring people together — but trolls are using the milestone movie to divide people.

Swings and roundabouts my friend, swings and roundabouts. How do you get ignoramus' to stop such squalk? There's got to be a single solution, surely?

Black Panther was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Both white guys.

Iceman, Hulkling, Wiccan, Northstar, etc are homosexual characters.

Iceman wasn't for decades but they rebranded him recently.

A movie about a radical socialist black separatist movement was supposed to bring people together? How exactly?

How is this any different than showcasing insurrectionists like the CSA? The threat of socialism should never be minimized, normalized or legitimized through glorification in mass media/movies.

Yeah, the little chicken deleted this twitter conversation. Guess she couldn't stand to get reasonable arguments like your sensible response here.

Yeah, if it isn't Trump threads, it's political correctness threads. A close third are gun threads. Where's the old ATS I knew...UFO's, Sasquatch, time travelers, etc. Now it's all NWO and LGTBQUnicorn bathroom dwellers and a buttload of Trump hate. Sigh. Now, I can't even enjoy a Marvel movie because I'm not entitled to the black culture because I'm white!

Neo, let me out of the Matrix! Agent Smith has taken over!!!

ATS jumped the shark while back, political threads used to be the distractiin, rather than the norm.

I only see stupid people making a big deal about this movie. Idiots on both sides. Left and right wing extreme points of view. Now some media outlets are making these points of view seem normal, when they are in the very very low minority of people. Another dividing nonsense topic the media tries to get the masses riled up about.

Nevertheless, anyone who thought that kind of movie would go over well in today's climate was clearly mistaken.

Lets face it, politics have ruined this country. And it didn't start with Clinton, but her campaign normalized the attacks on voters vs. ideology/refuting individual facts/attacking the politician.

This, coupled with the gradual but complete moral breakdown we've witnessed over the last century has really made some dandys.

They are getting pulled into this left vs right divide created by the media (including alternative media). Wether it's the MSM or Alex jones, they're all doing their part to divide us with silly arguements. Unfortunately, many from ATS are falling into this trap.

On the bright side (for them), there is no serious discussion or inquiry into the massive DEEPSTATE exposures or very real/provable conspiracies that existed/exist. There won't be any prosecution or exposure, because we're too busy worrying about some moronic trolls that decided to troll a black panthers movie. There will always be trolls and disinformation, it can't be eliminated. The only choice is education and exposure

Instead, we're arguing over who can use what bathroom and whether or not a handful of trolls with moderate funding was able to swing an election cycle that sees hundreds of millions/billions spent on advertising along. Or arguing whether or not my lawful possession of an "assault weapon" somehow has a magical effect on a mass shooting halfway across the country (it doesn't, big surprise there)

I wonder If they could make a separate ATS site just to do with US politics?.

Which is why we should discuss what they’re doing no? So everyone can see what falsities are being used to divide them.

If I’m not mistaken that was the original intent of the creation of many of the political forums, to separate the minor political discussions out of less relevant sections; problem is people will still turn anything into a political discussion. Even if they did it would just stop them as the primary focus of the thread. All you can really do is hide the forums from the recent posts list.
