Colours on an apron in Craft Masonry are specific to each constitution and are the "uniform" of that constitution, similar to the colours of shirts worn by sports teams. One can tell different constitutions apart by the colours on the aprons.

The symbols on an apron allude to one's rank in Masonry, but the design and colours are simply to distinguish constitutions and have no esoteric or symbolic meaning.
