romney had been anti trump right up until near the end of the election, trump predicted during his campaign that once he had won romney would change his tune bend over and take orders from trump. and THAT photo is when that happened, that dinner was the moment romney revealed he had turned into a trump supporter, trumps huge grin is because of this, its a "i told you so" grin.
romneys shameful expression is because he knows thats exactly what trump is thinking, romney is embarrassed because he recognizes the moment for what it is. his sellout moment.
