Well, they are pro-life! Well, except they wanted to kill the Supreme Court for making it illegal to kill mentally handicapped people and children. I kid you not, the republicans, mainly from Texas, wanted the Supreme Court executed on tv because they made it illegal to kill someone under the age of 18 or mentally handicapped. This was after a 100,000+ civillians were fire bombed by them with illegal weapons in Iraq, but they don't count I guess cause they are brown.

Perhaps they are pro-life. Perhaps they have wrong intentions about being pro-life. All I'm sayining is that I am pro-life, and do not submit myself to the evils of selfishness, greed, murder, etc. listed in this thread.

Pretty much, why I like John McCain so much, he is pro-fetus and has actually done something to help the cause in a peaceful loving way. He has adopted several kids, which the republicans used against him during the 2000 primaries when they actually called millions of people asking...
"If you knew John McCain had several illeginament(spelled wrong I know) children with blacks and indians, would you be more or less likely to vote for him?" Since John McCain has adopted kids who had darker skin they used that against him so they could get the puppet Bush in the election.

And like I said, love liberals cause it is hard for them to be hypocritical. A president getting head from a secretary? Your point? Now if he had said he wanted to ban all say, gummy bears, then he would be a hypocrit.

That's what they called in my home town "dirty pool" (meaning cheating at billiards). It's a loaded question and that's an ugly thing to do.

I can agree that it's hard for a liberal to be hypocritical. When you're accepting of anything (moral or not, right or wrong). There's a problem with total subjectivity though. You can't make any laws. Also, given the opportunity, people are self-destructive.

They do have morals, the same ones all humans do, the Humanism(sp?) codes, like no murder, rape, stealing. But democrats don't get hung up on no eating meat on friday(christians) no eating pork(jews and islam) no working on the sabbath(think all three) things like that. They don't care what you eat or when you eat it, they don't care what you do in the privacy of your own bedroom as long as it isn't against the Humanism code of no rape.

Yeah, see that can be a problem. Even if a person doesn't believe they are infringing upon someone else's rights, in all reality they can be. One example is smoking. I have the right to the earth's clean air. A smoker says they have the right to muck it up. So who wins? Candidly, if the smoker wants to advocate self-lung cancer I think that's sad, but if you want to pass your cause of lung cancer off on me, then that's when I have a problem. Even in your room, that smoke has to go somewhere.

Another example. If a person is in the privacy of their room paying for porn, then that's their deal right? Well, what happens when because of the thriving industry, when I'm on ATS, I get a "porn pop" and lots of fun "marketing" bugs in my computer because I was viewing ATS? Don't say it's not possible, I have examples (not involving the ATS site, but other non-porn related sites). Or, every time my kid turns on the TV, guess what, Porn on 8 out of the 10 channels. After all, sex sells yes? We're in a free market economy and since we're buying, they have the "right" to sell it. So now, I have to go SPEND money for a v-chip and installation, SPEND hours reading the manual and trying to get the blasted tv programmed not to show it, and SPEND time on the phone with the cable company trying to get everything to work right. *phew* All that's done, problem solved. Wrong! Now it's 9 out of 10 channels AND I'm getting porn in the mail!

Why are Americans so upset over boobs? In Europe boobs are not a end of the world thing if seen on tv. Janet Jackson? No big deal in most of Europe.

Eating meat on friday is a sin according to the bible. Yes it's the old testament but Jesus speciffically said(in the bible anyways) that he was there to enforce the OT, not make it obsolete.

And many people work on sunday, unless you think the safety of the nation takes a break on sunday. Cops, fire fighters, doctors, security guards, troops, FBI, CIA, all work on sunday. Meijer, Kroger, and other 24/7 stores are open on Sunday, do they just hope someone will pay or do they have people working? All those people, many of them heroes like the Cops and firefighters, are to be killed for working on the sabbath.

Or National Geographic. The problem is in our minds. We as humans cannot look upon a naked body without some form of lust, desire or coveting. Perhaps there are some people who are trained not to. It is in that wanting visual that we lose sight of the fact we're looking at a person with a soul & mind who deserves some kind of respect for the experiences and knowledge they've acquired. We start to 'de-humanize' them. The bigger danger is people who are committed in a relationship. If you're committed in marriage epecially, there should be absolutely no need to want someone else. Is it easy? Certainly not, but it's the way it should be and we should take whatever steps to discipline to make it so.

Fulfill the law, not enforce. There's a difference. It's a long story, but to simplify, people were getting so caught up on specific days and times to perform ceremonies that they forgot the message or heart behind it. Jesus taught people how to have the heart God wants us to and gave us the means to be redeemed for mucking it all up.

Pastors work on Sunday too. Jesus healed on Sunday which was considered working and was accused of "breaking the law". He explained that putting "the law" over God's work was not the right way of looking at it. The sabbath is a benefit, as reflected in Hebrews as well. I believe the point was to take a day, not in particular which day. I think I may have been whining on another thread about having to work on Sundays when I should have been grateful...

No need to start cursing. If our Bible offends you then it sounds like that is an issue between you and God. The verses that you refer to were part of the Mosaic covenant in the Old Testament. Jesus died on the cross and took the entire blow meant for sinners from God. Read on in the New Testament and you'll read that homoness is still wrong, just no longer punishable by death and that there is now redemption for those who seek it. We've had this arguement before JAMES! Do not presume to pervert the scriptures of the Bible to further your own agenda.
