Turkey authorities confirm that an A129 Attack helicopter was shot down in the Afrin region by Kurdish forces. Via a MANPAD (unconfirmed)

Both crew members were killed in the incident. If you watch the video. There are at least two helicopters operating within the area.

Erdogan has promised the perpetrators will pay a heavy price. As if the poor people of the region haven't suffered enough.

Erdogan has claimed it was brought down since it happened, using that as a pretext to justify ongoing operations in Syria.

Btw, like your take "Confirmed" , then "unconfirmed" -- by MANPAD.

Judging by the slow speed of the other Helo, it could have easily been ground fire. Source seems to agree:

Given how low the helicopter was, it is possible that cannon fire downed it.

As far as those poor people suffering those are Syrians, Kurds are the excuse now as some IS was before.

Turkey, I mean the Coalition, I mean NATO is invading Syria, not Kurdland.

whats wrong with that ????

the turks are not omnicient - yes they know that they have lost a helicopter - but in the " fog of war " - other units in the area would have had more important things on thier mind than taking note of exactly how it was downed

Thats because you buy the lie; Turkey is invading Kurdland instead of Syria. Turkey , the Coalition, which is really NATO ad Co,. Turkey, Israel, Saudi Arabia, United States and twenty one flavor insurgents.

utter bollox - all i addressed was the fact that it was absolutly feasible for the turks to know they had lost a helicopter WHILE also being uncertain just how it was brought down

deal with that - not your fantasies

your willfull dishonesty - and pathetic attempts to twist what i say to your innane fantasies are utterly peureile

are you actually going to address what i really said - which was :

it is absolutly feasible for the turks to loose a helicopter during combat operations - and be certain that it has been lost - but as of yet - not know exactly how it was lost

its a very simple premise - and ALL i said

i have NEVER addressed what the scope of turkish military operations has been - where thier AO was , or the targets of thier assaults or operational objectives

so stop being a wingnut - and address what i really said - not your fantasies

if any further posts of yours lie about what i said - i will report your conduct in this thread to ATS staff

You're lost in your own 'Fog of War'.

The same fog the media wants us to believe hangs over Syria. I see right thru that , and you.

you are lost in your own fantasies :

i made no comment on where it was

i made no comment on why it was there

i made no comment on who it was conduction operations against

i made no comment on who shot it down

i made no comment on wether it should have been where it was

but like a grade 2 wingnut - you persist :

for the last time :

the turks know they lost a helicopter in combat operations - but are uncertain how it was shot down

such things happen - stop lying , fantasising and miss-reprenting my position on this
