American respect declines the most wherever self-respect and freedom has been forgotten.

i.e. America.

look at the farce that is the American government and the intelligence agencies.... oh yea the rape society... and soliciting sex from pornstars is the #1 American way to show integrity and self respect... oh and spying on citizens and Allies, drones strikes, women children hospital decimation ... toppling regimes, selling arms to terrorist groups etc.

a beacon of respect and freedom, 'Murka

It is the last beacon of liberty left, but as you point out, slowly declining in indirect proportion to the growth of its government. Hopefully with the deregulation and dissolving of government hegemony in the US, liberty will shine brighter again.

First, the world may not care about silly sex scandals, and I would agree with that. However, the willingness to blatantly lie to the whole viewing planet and the expectation that those lies would be blindly accepted is much more severe an issue and one the demands critical thinking on the part of the viewer. That is, viewers capable of understanding the impact of such actions on a world stage. I excuse you for not noticing.

As for bankrolling wars, we have been in that business for what, 50 years now? War has been a business on this planet since the first time two cultures armed themselves and squared off. Its awfully narrow minded to focus the blame on the new kid on the block, globally speaking. No, its the old money that bankrolls wars. You are just mad that we got a slice of the pie.

As for music, sorry but no. I have been a musician for more than 40 years. rap was and still is a sorry excuse for talent. You can call it expression if you want. I view that in the same vein as an angry toddler smearing feces on a wall. Yep, thats an expression alright... Now, if you want to be taken more seriously, find a more sophisticated way of expressing yourself.

Kingdoms are lame.

No Christian would agree with that statement.

Since, of course, Jesus is King, and has promised all true Christians a place in "his kingdom."

On Earth, Kingdoms are a "reflection" of the social order that exists beyond this earthly life.

A Christian Kingdom on Earth, therefore, ruled by a Monarch that heads the Church, is also a useful "reminder" of the plan of the order in the Heavenly Kingdom to come.

But, on Earth, a Kingdom only works when the people are less educated, less knowledgeable, and just not as wise as the Monarch.

In the old days, before we had things like text books, and universal education, etc..there was a place for such things as Monarchies and Noble families, etc..because they possessed the knowledge and wisdom, and the people, referred to as the peasants, were generally uneducated.

So, your comment, "Kingdoms are lame", is really a recognition of the change in society, where there came the time when the people were often more knowledgeable, more educated, and just seemed a lot more wise that those individuals who happened to have had the good fortune of being born into royalty or nobility.

At that point, people began to ask themselves the question, "Why do we still need a King?"

Is it possible, that God can still give one man so much more wisdom than everybody else, so that we can still turn to that one man to solve all our problems when we have them? If we are able to solve these problems ourselves, using our own wisdom, what would we ever need a King for, even if he too is also wise? Is there even a God? Or, was religion just created to control the people, etc..and give some special people the justification for their claim to have dominion over us.

So, in the history of mankind, Kingdoms have been overthrown and reestablished, as the people wrestled with these questions.

Most Earthly Kingdoms have either gone, or had their role diminished, as the people have risen up, educated themselves, and taken over the responsibilities that were previously that of the monarch, and the Monarchy has become a purely Ceremonial institution.

If there are any real Monarchs left on earth, they'd probably have found it more efficient and expedient to rule "in secret", behind the scenes, rather than display themselves in the open "pomp and pageantry" of the ceremonial Monarchies of the day.

So, to say "Kingdoms are lame", is to suggest you feel educated enough, knowledgeable enough, and wise enough, to make decisions for your own life. You have grown up, become an adult, and no longer need that guidance that is given to children.

For an atheist, modern Kingdoms are indeed lame.

But, a true Christian will remember the Jesus teaching that one must become a child to enter the Kingdom [Matthew 18:3]. So, Kingdoms are really just for Children.

That is, there are only two ways to get into the Kingdom of Heaven. Either, you enter as the King, or you enter as a Child to that King.

In a Democracy, we are all Kings. There are no children. Even the children tell the parents what is right. Today, in Canada, for example, the parent is not allowed to tell their own children that they are boy or girl. Instead, the parent must "wait" until the child tells the parent which "gender" they prefer to be identified as.

I know, it's a weird situation.

But, there it is.

yes. as soon as Trump decides to surround himself with the right people instead of the assclowns diminishing any meagre attempt at actually reforming the country.

from billionaires in charge of the education system and Kelly Ann overlooking the opoid crisis and wife beaters and an almost revamped war on drugs and privatized prisons.

i truly wonder why more Americans dont march down the capital and make the government work for them.
must be the water. (i will always remain neutral by proxy)

Since I don't live in America I may see a different view on how the people here and in Asia see America as a country that will come to their aide.
Sad to say but in Asia, China seems to have more respect then America because America still uses bullets to enforce freedom on the country they invade.

I cannot argue with you.

We dont do ourselves any favors abroad.

We need to recognize basic rights abroad that we typically reserve for ourselves. Due process is impossible with gunpowder diplomacy.

America had reached rock bottom under Obama. The country was completely unrecognisable, but Trump is slowly but surely re-establishing the US as a world leader as opposed to a world cash cow. It will take years to undo the damage Obama did. He was a terrorist that managed to get elected President - shocking.

Now if you consume the media, who only report what they are told to by unelected fascists like those in Brussels, you might think differently, but people with IQ's greater than that of a dog can see what is happening.

I agree to you that the US suffered under Obama but I'm not sure how Trump is establishing any sort of world leadership. He's pulled out of some of the most important international agreements that demonstrate leadership.

Currenly, the US is a "possy" country ... it's whining and complaining about how the Russians control the US. This makes the US weak, and the Russians strong.

So, yes ... the US has lost all credability and we're entering the dark ages with Russia and China at the helm, along with a bunch of liberals who don't know their left hand from their right.

How to change it?

Stop whining about the Russians ... expell the nazis, fascists and liberals.

Some of us do because we realize that negotiating from a position of leadership is much more beneficial than holding an outstretched hand. Right now, on the world stage, our president looks like that three year old throwing a tantrum in the cereal aisle. It's kinda hard to see any leadership in that.

You may want to start that statement out with "In my opinion.." . Or , are you in a high enough position to speak for the entire world ? I would think not.

I remember reading a poll that came out a while ago and there were only two countries that had a favorable opinion of the president and what he is doing.

Israel and Russia.

Awesomesauce, a circlejerk of questionable ethics there. Let's just cut to the chase & dub us & them the Three Global Stooges.

Lol...it's my post, therefore it's "my opinion." I don't think that needs to be stated here...it's an internet forum, right? Do you put "in my opinion" on all of your posts? I think not.

The government is not a service. Another good thing about the US: statism isn’t the most important ideology. Wish I could say the same about other countries.

How can America have the respect of anyone in the world today who is reasoanbly informed of what the US govt is like and has been like for the last 30 years that I know of anyway.

The lies, the decit, the duplicity, the treason and so on. Its a shame really. Some good things have come out of Americia, lots of good techology, music, movies etc.

We’re sort of busy right now working on our own problems, so as for me and many others, our image isn’t really on the top of our list.

And it’s not our job to come to the aid of every country on earth.

Me thinks some one is being a bit naive. China is putting her pieces on the board. There will come a time when China will release the dragon on the rest of Asia. She is building a force to be reckoned with. Don't worry, you will feel her wrath more than America ever could in that part of the world..
