Instead of communism. The fall of Soviet Union led to Democratic China instead of Communist China. We did not need to support Taiwan what so ever. China instantly became a democratic country with Taiwan land united into a new leadership. All the Old factions of China had died. So no Nationalists, CCP, or KMT.

Do you still think we would still have war with China being democratic?

Culturally speaking, I am not sure that China would have collapsed into a democratic or republican structure.

They take view that is more aligned to reincarnation and earning a better turn on the wheel through accumulating good kharma in bearing your lot in this life. There is little room for self-determination in that kind of basic world view. Why do you think they have a far more stable form of communistic society than Russia managed?

They still are far to human for a perfect communist utopia, but they are more stable at it than most Westernized cultures can attempt.

China's title is:

People's Republic of China

Their system works for them very well.

Now, tell me three Democratic Countries where the people are actually listen to by the Government.

Democracy itself has many quite fatal flaws ... as the US is finding out right now.

The Chinese people, by and large, respect their Government!

Now, who exactly do you believe is at war with China. It seems only you are. Are you really ready?

Name me three Western countries where the people would accept a system like China's without the government having to engage in mass slaughter, incarceration, and heavy-handed oppression.

Western peoples have a culture where self-determination and independence are too ingrained to easily accept much micro-managing although the government does like to try.

I didn't realize we were at war with China. I guess it must be an economic war, I think they are winning the war.

I don't think it's much about "winning" for China as it is about surviving. Because of their 1 child policy and their culture, they have way too many young men who have no prospects for anything beyond an empty life. Not enough women over there you see.

So the Chinese government has to find ways to keep them busy so they don't realize it.

Why do they so many empty cities? It's because they keep them busy building, working, doing anything and everything they can to keep them too tired to realize they will never marry, never have children, and die after living biologically empty lives.

The only other thing they could do with them is send them off to war.

Raise your hand if you really want that? All that cannon fodder sent off to war ...

The USA already has 2 of those boxes ticked, the mass slaughter isn't necessary as most citizens are doped up and compliant.

Doped up and compliant aren't productive.

You will get to the mass slaughter stage eventually. All of them do in the West.

Could not agree more.

I still want to know who is at war with China.

If China went with democracy ... and they won't ... the first President of China would likely be a rice farmer.

Their system is right for them at this point in their development.

The Democracies are on a fatal slide. The primary reason is that no where in our much lauded societies are there any requirements for Truth.

That is where Democracy will fail ... eventually.

The OP is either very confused, or the Mandela Effect just hit me like a ton of bricks!! Is it safe to be above ground? Has China invaded the mainland, or is the war on their soil?

I can't imagine many of their alleged 200m man army making it through our air and sea defenses, and those who did would likely be future-weaponsed out of exiatence, if not killed by west coast citizens rather promptly.

First few replies don't seem to be questioning the premise of being at war with China as a hoax, so...am I the only one who woke up today not in a reality that we're at war with China?

This is SO crazy!!

.

Productivity went south when work was DE compartmentalised, the idea was compliance was favorable and worth taking the hit in productivity.

In case you don't know it, Chinese people can travel to Cuba, freely. Heck, they even built the airport there. Chinese people really no longer wear them kung fu outfits of the 60's. Wealthy Chinese can do what ever the wealthy politician in DC can do.
East China is NOT a backward country. West China, yes.

1. We're not at war with China. China, Mexico, and Canada are our 3 biggest national trade partners for both imports and exports.

2. China and the USSR had rival forms of communism. They even fought a brief war in 1969. They weren't nearly as close as you're implying.

3. The situation with Taiwan goes back to the Opium Wars in the 1800s and the "Unequal Treaties" in the early 1900s. The Chinese poor adopted communism & revolted against the Western backed, pro-"Unequal Treaty" Chinese govt. After being defeated & overrun in the Chinese Civil War (which overlapped w/WW2), the pro-Western Chinese govt officials fled to Taiwan. For decades, the West stayed allied with their pro-Western partners who were now in Taiwan, but eventually they became allies with communist China, as well. The USSR's fall had nothing to do with it.
