It's only when the Facebook and other social media doesn't work (I caught a virus - nope not the HIV/AIDS - an Internet virus) that you realize what a fantastic home ATS is.

Maybe the wine is making me feel fuzzy.
And yeah I've had my transgressions.

But I feel like I'm home on ATS.

Aside from the seemingly never ending Left bashing.

Yes. A great place!

I saw a BBC documentary on how people are no longer going to bars.
They drink at home.

Is it a good thing or bad thing?

Well practically it must be good.
No cars, no fights, no physical regrets.

Just wanted to say thank you.

YAWN.

Hostile Media Effect
pro-Palestinian students and pro-Israeli students at Stanford University were shown the same news filmstrips pertaining to the then-recent Sabra and Shatila massacre of Palestinian refugees by Christian Lebanese militia fighters abetted by the Israeli army in Beirut during the Lebanese Civil War. On a number of objective measures, both sides found that these identical news clips were slanted in favor of the other side. Pro-Israeli students reported seeing more anti-Israel references and fewer favorable references to Israel in the news report and pro-Palestinian students reported seeing more anti-Palestinian references, and so on. Both sides said a neutral observer would have a more negative view of their side from viewing the clips, and that the media would have excused the other side where it blamed their side.

Subsequent studies have found hostile media effects related to other political conflicts, such as strife in Bosnia[4] and in U.S. presidential elections,[5] as well as in other areas, such as media coverage of the South Korean National Security Act,[6] the 1997 United Parcel Service Teamsters strike,[7] genetically modified food,[8][9] and sports.[10]

And flip brother - it's for free!

OK, I realize there's adverts and stuff (although never obtrusive).
And I know it's US based (if you're not American you're never gonna get total support either way).

But despite that, honey, I'm coming to visit!
And I enjoy it every time.

I will say, that it is the best community of minds out there.

I even like and respect the few I bicker with on a daily basis.

Feels like family.

Although, I must say I'm missing a bro lately.
Springer where are you?
We haven't been collectively crapped out for a while.
Not my business, I'm having fun either way.

I don't even want to go sleep - ATS is so groovy.

You got to chase me away, or I'm not going nowhere.

I suppose it is home. Certainly has been my go to place for over a decade. Definitely as dysfunctional as well. I think I would compare it more to high school on some days though. The cliques, the bullies, the brains, the jocks, the playground politicians with immature insults. Makes me wanna go hide in the AV room most times. Too peopley in the halls....

But other forums are just roaming froth-mouthed rabid freaks.

Only a few of those here.

Staring at my CD collection I built up in the 1990s and the naughties.

Nope you can trash that all.

Just come to ATS.

You're a listener and a DJ.

You're a groupie and a rock star.
