If children are the future, then Canada is flushing it down the toilet.

The Elementary Teacher's Federation of Ontario has just released its new curriculum plan for early years through 8th grade students. The focus is shifting away from academic knowledge to social justice indoctrination. If Canada implements this brainwashing program, they'll be shooting themselves in the foot with a poison dart. The early school years are when children have the opportunity to learn the most... Not just in academics, but also in functionality, social behavior, and discipline. The millennials have been psychologically neglected by the older generations long enough. It's time to reverse the trend to preserve the next generation of vulnerable minds. Social justice is garbage. Personal responsibility needs to be the focus.

The entire education system for many countries is flawed. Homeschool your children!

From what I see, the children(and therefor us) are already lost.

Not mankind,,,
People kind.....

It's not the fall that kills ya, it's the sudden stop at the bottom. Enjoy the ride.

They start 'schooling' kids early because when they are young is when they are the most vulnerable to indoctrination and brainwashing.

To me, this sounds like it is a class, not a replacement to an entire teaching curriculum.

Lol, not my Prime Minister. Canadia is far too cold and socialist for my thin American blood. I just read this in one of Jordan Peterson's tweets, and figured ATS might be interested in knowing.

And then once past college years the brainwashing to turn people in to right wingers begins.

It's a never ending vicious cycle.

Conditioning begins in formative years.

The authority of teachers desk, the formation of desks facing front is then molded into the school podium, the church pulpit, speech podium, the news 'desk'.

First they have to strip children away from the bosom of their family at an early age before loyalty is cemented in their minds. Supplant authority of the family for loyalty to the state, thru repetition of dogma. Every morning , first thing:

Now class, stand and face the flag and repeat after me...

When did Columbus discover America? How did we defeat the savage "Indians" that lived here. Remember the Alamo, God Bless America, blah blah bl-blah...

Besides...people aren't brainwashed into conservatism...they just revert to it naturally...

While I don't disdain Millennials as much as some others do (because the "good ones" get drowned out by the obnoxious ones)... and I may be putting too much emphasis on the following statement... but....

The millennials have been psychologically neglected by the older generations long enough.

I disagree with this notion. It's not that they were neglected. It's that they were WAY TOO coddled. Perhaps if they were neglected and/or ignored a little bit more, they would have grown into a tougher skin and would be in a better position to think for themselves and depend on themselves.

WHERE are the PARENTS?!?!

This will lead to a bunch of holier than thou dweebs who can tell you what is wrong, but can't properly explain why.

Ummm...what your describing is...pecking order...

Human beings...being mammalian animals...form hierarchies just like we find in any pride of lions...or chickens in the barnyard...

Remember your roots...then remind yourself we're really not that far removed from when we had our grooming order as we sat in the trees staring out across the savannah...

No need to over complicate the nature of the human being...everything we do is a reflection of where we came from as a species...we just have better tools and toys...

That makes no sense.

You are saying children are born right wingers?

We really need to understand that our children are the future--we need to focus on teaching them well and letting them lead the way. They possess a lot of beauty inside, so we should give them a sense of pride to make it easier.

I heard some children laughing, and it reminded me of how I used to be.

As someone who went through the Ontario school system, and then the beginning of my children's education there...the difference even between the education I got and what was offered to them was unbearable. I began teaching my own before I even left that province. I honestly don't even know how parents cope with the school system anymore on any level. Even the teachers are frustrated. My province may not be on par with Ontario, but I'm sure this teacher speaks for many. Brought tears to my eyes. ... Teacher resigns publicly
