The Peace of God to all that belong to the Light
Dear Readers,

This is sad news for all the ones that defend wild life and try to refrain illegal traffic of parts of animals in risk of extinction, and in particular elephants ivory , as well as, rhinoceronts horns, Mr. Esmond Bradley Martin, 75, died this last Sunday, he was murdered in his property in Nairobi, Kenya, suburb of Langata.

He was the leading figure in the world in to fight for the control those criminal activities that are boosting extinction of valuable animal species for the supply of those materials to a black market.

Please check:
www.theguardian.com...

Elephants and Rhinos are species that are demographically so rare, they also represent practically alive fossils that are irreplaceable if they become vanished for ever due to irresponsible hunting.

Please check:

www.ecowatch.com...

It is so wrong that in a time chemistry has developed a lot of synthetic materials that can easily replace Ivory to make objects, like the different varieties of resins and plastics, and also when there are pharmaceutical treatments to fix male impotency there still traders hunting these animals for reasons that are an obsolete knowledge of raw materials or based on popular myths that have no scientific base on medicine.

Please check
www.bbc.com...

What can we do in America to help people like Mr E.B. Martin that are risking their lives to save other species of extinction? we can for instance refrain changes in the law that may open paths for the traficants to continue their evil activity, profiting of animals that are not causing any harm to humanity, check for instance the following news, that challenges wild life defenders to act quickly here.

Estephany Ebbs, November 15th 2017, ABC:
The Trump administration plans to allow hunters to bring trophies of elephants they killed in Zimbabwe and Zambia back to the United States, reversing a ban put in place by the Obama administration in 2014, a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service official confirmed for ABC News today.

Two words- its complicated.

The only reason why we still have elephants and many other species in the wild, is trophy hunting.

Sorry but it is true, it is a straight cash injection to these areas, where cash is needed.

Illegal poaching sucks, legal trophy hunting does not.

I have so much to add to this matter, but i do not feel like writing a book right know, but the info is easily found, lots of good documentaries to watch and so on, so everybody can make a good judgement for themselves.

You know why Ivory is illegal? To drive up the price. Poachers are watching. If the reward is rich enough they will go get some, lIke drugs, alcohol, weapons, you name it, there is a bigger market when its illegal.

That is no doubt a good try, but the argument that supports it is extremely cynical, so it is not difficult to see it is quite false.

National parks and other wild life reserves can be sustained economically from Eco tourism, one activity that is extremely profitable and do not harm or destroy at all any species, open to civilized people that enjoy taking photographies or films of the animals or birds and banning absolutely the barbaric activivity of hunting for pleasure.

The point of view you are bringing here is precisely the one that has brought many species to the border of extinction or to extinct them at all, as it happen with the Tasmanian Tiger, the Dodo, West Africa Rhinoceros, Pyrenean ibex, Passenger Pigeon, Quagga, Caribbean Monk seal, sea mink, The Javan tiger, elephant bird, Schomburgk’s Deer, barbary lion, Atlas bear, Warrah, the Great Auk (Pinguin of the north Hemisphere) and the bubal hartebeest.

If the animals go extinct, how can they charge money for trophies? They wont let that happen..

How much money did you spend as an ecoturist, when you were there?
How many times have you visited?

I have never been there, but i have bought a crocodile skull (with paperwork, legal) from a charity auction, that raised money for an orphanage, so that the youngsters there might have a slim chance in life.

The fact that you have traveled in a safari to Africa does not mean your own decisions and style of life is the correct measure of what everybody must do.

The fact that somebody take the money you paid for a hunting trophy to be used in charity does Not mean yours is the ideal way to help others.

What you are preaching here is the philosophy of the goals justify the means, something that was used exhaustively along History by the worst tyrants to justify atrocities.

That was the way Robespierre, Crownwell, Napoleon, Bier, Stalin and Mao justified terrible crimes against humanity, including genocides.

I have Not heard from you more than justifications to excuse extermination of animals, just for satisfy a perverted sense of fun.

I am also trying to point out, that these animals are being bred in all sorts of places, in the olden days people just shot anything that moved until there was no more things that moved,

Take the polar bear for example, the population is getting bigger and bigger everyday,
and its awesome, because they are awesome, have a great weekend!
