Hi all,
Hoping someone with more knowledge can shed some light on this. Basically this object was filmed on 1st December 2017 by my wife. The second half of the video I have tried to zoom and enhance the video to try and show the object better.

Only thing I don't understand is that it appears to be going straight down with no plane visible? We live very close to an airport so used to seeing a lot of air traffic at varying heights. I've never come across anything like this.

Thanks for that. Been years since I've posted and I'm on my phone, not the most practical thing.

No worries, took me long enough too to find out how to do it

About the UFO, how long did it last?

Definitely contrails, the vapor is being illuminated by the Sun, and it is moving away from you, giving the illusion it is going down.

"Going down" is only perspective. If it was coming towards the person filming it would appear to be going up. Just a sunlit contrail. They fool a lot of people.

I see from the video description that there is a location. What time was it filmed and it should still be possible to track the aircraft from flight tracking software. Filming direction would also be helpful.

Thanks for providing the additional details on You Tube.

Looks to be the Singapore Airlines Airbus A380. Flight SQ25/SIA25. It was up at 41,000 feet

Airbus A380s can generate large contrails.

i'd have to say a 'plane contrail. the apparent 'straight down' trajectory is simply perspective and viewing angle. (imho)

That is my vote, as well.
