I was impartial at the beginning of this thread but after seeing some of the inane reasons why not to have it,I'm all for it now

Don't care I like them it's a good day out.
We used to have air shows and still have military pomp in the UK so go for it.
I bet the troops will enjoy it also give them a grand day trip.

Same here. I'm so glad I'm no longer in the Army. I hated dress parades. Yuck. It's such a disgusting display of strength. Whatever happened to the saying, "speak softly and carry a big stick"? Parading down the streets of Washington DC for the world to see isn't "speaking softly" at all.

Who is trump trying to impress?

I know you are being rhetorical with this last question but I want to answer it anyways. Trump.

Tacky... waste of time and man hours, but unless the Joint chiefs suddenly grow a spine I imagine we will have to put up with it.

I got the route all planed. Start at the Pentagon, cross the Arlington Memorial Bridge, pass the Lincoln and Washington Monuments, straight down the National Mall to the Capitol Building and clean it out.

Now that would be a parade everyone can get behind.

If it makss liberal heads explode, I'm all for it.
