A new thread unravels from Indra's Web.. Azimuthal Equidistant CENSORSHIP.

Now, much like the next man, I have spent the past few years utterly gobsmacked that a growing vocal minority across the Internet have been harping on about 'Flat Earth' & the web of associated conspiracy theory concepts & narratives peddled by the mainstream media concerning the supposed absolutely assured reality of a globe Earth in a 3D galactic soup of trillions upon trillions of stars, a hundred billions galaxies, and the most glorious visual wonders (& plenty of non-visual wonders) which come associated with standard astronomical interpretations, and the feats of modern technology.

I expected the Flat Earth issue to burst like a badly-conceived weather balloon project - but it continues to grow, it seems - certain strands of evidence which is used to support an overall Flat Earth concept, simply refuse to bow to what should be an extremely straightforward means of debunking.

I don't want to get into the specifics of my own stance on this matter in this particular thread, as it's an evolving situation in terms of my understanding, assumptions, inference & deductions on reviewing several classes of data. However, I just wanted to highlight this rather inexplicable fact, which appears to be a literal piece of evidence that the tools needed to research the finer data surrounding (no pun intended) the Flat Earth model are being ACTIVELY CENSORED.

Several months ago I got into using the following amazing website, which uses supercomputer data to provide a near-as-dammit RealTime map of all manner of atmospheric & oceanographic processes on Earth, both natural (wind, waves) & man-made (pollution by particulates of various sizes, CO2 levels, SO levels, and so on). It is an amazing tool to really get a grasp of how weather & other processes are acting upon our local planetary/planar environment.

NullSchool.Net - RealTime Supercomputer-Generated - Atmospheric & Oceanographic (etc) - Incredible Data Source (USE IT..!!!)

Not only does it have a complex array of what could be loosely termed 'filters' showing the various chemicals & particulates, weather & wave systems, etc - but it boasts a decent number of different map projections which can of course be utilised by the scientifically-inclined site user for a range of very specific & reliable scientific purposes, depending on the specialism being looked into.

One of those map projections which I came across several months ago showed the AZIMUTHAL EQUIDISTANT map projection (like the UN map, a bird's eye view of a flattened Earth, both images shown below for comparison). This map, when properly & fully represented, shows the continent of Antarctica as a sort of circular, ringed-around 'Wall' which fences in the oceans & continents within the circle/Antarctic wall.

I found the NullSchool.Net Azimuthal Equidistant RealTime Atmospheric/Oceanographic map to be utterly fascinating in & of itself - and indeed several of the different projections are intriguing. A couple are literally mind-bending - such as the (suggestively named!) 'Atlantis Projection' & the trippy 'Stereographic Projection'. I did enjoy messing around with all three projections named in this paragraph, and of course I utilised the standard 'Orthographic Projection' for general tinkering with the various parameters, to get a feel for how things look using the traditional globe projection which we are all familiar with.

However, a problem has developed. In the past few days I've been on a bit of an investigatory quest concerning SOME of the claims of the Flat Earth model which have stayed annoyingly unresolved, or even worse, which have been tentatively CONFIRMED in my concluding thoughts as circumstantial evidence that SOMETHING iffy is going on with regards our relationship with 'Space', the Moon & Sun, and the Earth beneath our feet.

On loading up the NullSchool.Net Worldwide Weather & Atmospheric Research Website, and thereafter on attempting to view that fascinating 'Azimuthal Equidistant Projection' map, I discovered that it has been spoofed - either a member of the NullSchool.Net staff has altered the linked map projection (simplest explanation), or an external agency has hacked & altered it - because it is no longer the Azimuthal Equidistant Projection.



Instead, it is a plain, simple, familiar, unremarkable 'Orthographic Projection', the same one which is the default view on loading the home page of the site; the common globe which we are all entirely used to seeing in classrooms & on shelves across the entire world! You will note that the 'AE' projection, the Azimuthal Equidistant projection, is highlighted in yellow - but it's an Orthographic Projection..!!

This, to my mind, suggests a deliberate action to delete the exceptional tools which would otherwise be available - for FREE - in the analysis & recording of unaltered, unadulterated data, in support of - or for debunking - the Flat Earth theory....!!

As far as our trust in official & scientific resources can be reasonably extended in all manner of circumstance with the best of intentions, with the benefit of the doubt, in good faith, etc - this deletion/ substitution of a HIGHLY RELEVANT source of complex & incredibly useful data which could otherwise be used in support of the flat earth model, or in defence of the Globe Earth model, depending on your stance at the given moment of debate.

This is extremely worrying, as the data should have remained untainted, available for people to investigate the matter & come to their own conclusions. I realise that the internet is becoming a highly controlled & coordinated environment in certain locales of cyberspace, but this really takes the biscuit. Personally, I will be contacting the website owner to request that they resolve this 'ERROR'. Any resistance can be fairly safely assumed to be resistance under duress, or due to simple corruption tainting the integrity of the very people who would be improving the understanding of the human race.

Please join with me in seeking the reinstatement of this valuable (to both sides) data source for use in discussions & theorising concerning the matter of the 'Flat Earth Conspiracy'....

I think there's more going on here than a bunch of stupid humans.

After all, to an advanced race which has a million years of evolution & societal develoment against our measly few hundred thousand, then the technologies available to them would be literally 'magical', and beyond the ken of ordinary rational analysis (because they would have plenty of time to think & test their way around, through, under & over all the hurdles & complexities of the science involved in creating a simulation of such ineffable magnitude.

Yes, it may be a case of smart monkeys behaving in a stupid way - but to which group those labels should be applied? It's up for debate.

There are good questions raised by flat earthers. While I can't accept the total FE explanation, I can't accept the lowbrow name-calling debunkers anymore either. There is a mystery here.

Maybe it has something to do with the Holographic Model of the Universe theories which have been gaining traction in the scientific community.

Indubitably your friend is relating exactly what he sees. Ive been in a wide variety of planes and I totally agree that my eyes tell me curvature. Which we would also perceive in a Holographic model.

I believe there's room for debate on this one. Call me what you will---I originally thought it totally whacked out too so I understand. Now, however, I see some good questions that have no easy answer in the standard model that we've been taught.

Maybe we haven't started asking--or are just beginning to--all the right questions yet.

Despite what a group of people push, we are past the Earth being flat. Done deal.

If the Earth was flat surely it would be daytime all over the world and night time all over the world,for all countries and continents? Which is patently not the case.When i am in my night time,my American friends are in daytime and vice versa.

The earth really is flat. if it was a globe and spinning at 1000 mph the waves in the water and even the water itself would be forced to move in one direction. the water would build up on east coast of the Americas and eastern Asia. the coast lines would look very much different. But, since the earth is flat the water doesn't move to one side of the ocean basin and waves to move one direction. ITS FLAT the water is spread out evenly no 1000 mph currents.

Because as we all know, when traveling in a jet going, say 500 Mph, the moment you get out of your seat, you're thrown to the back of it and smeared all over the rear of the cabin....or that drink the stewardess pours into a cup.....we watch as the stream of soda goes flying away.......

....all because at no point did everything in the plane become accelerated to the same speed that the plane is going.....

Same thing happens in a vehicle too, right? Right? I mean if I'm in the back seat of a car, going 60 Mph down a road that's straight, if I opened a bottle of water and attempted to pour it into a glass, it would not do it, but instead will go streaming backwards and splatter on to the seat and back window.....because nothing in the car was accelerated to 60 Mph too.......

It would be an odd thing if some government officialdom AKA deep state actors were behind "helping" these kinds of things to prosper, (like the flat earth thing). But it could be. Some kind of psychological experiment of sorts.

If it is being done purposefully, then it is nefarious in nature since it is wrong to encourage any kind of deception by any kind of means.

Maybe it is a test to see just how far into the ridiculous range people can be led into, for some larger future deception to be waged upon the planet.

Despite your clearly hostile attitude & low opinion of people who are willing to look outside the box (or 'outside the dome'..?), you do raise a few valid points of contention with regards to the theory in question. However, shaming people by suggesting they are 'delusional...cultists', for investigating a non-standard model/ hypothesis/ theory of Reality, is quite simply unacceptable - and I'm certain you understand that.

The poisonous attitudes demonstrated by certain members of alternative investigatory forums, persons who can perhaps be described as 'serial offender tag team debunkers' (pseudo-skeptics, the genuinely dishonest, and the sadists who enjoy causing stress & embarrassment) are well known & understood by all people who are experienced in the world of alternative research/ academic theory - those being 'the good guys', who are open-minded, intellectually honest, and willing to treat others with respect, even if they disagree with the thoughts of people writing about a given topic when it is considered that those thoughts are incorrect. My message to those who engage in dishonourable tactics to influence the neutral who haven't made up their minds yet, is simply this: Debate the topic - don't utilise mockery, diversion, disruption & intellectual dishonesty to make yourself or your stance look good. Science has its limits, and in fact a blind adherence to the certitude that scientific-sounding positions always trump theorising & speculating outside the box, is actually a very harmful dogma, the opposite of intellectual honesty & debating integrity. Each case must be determined on the merits of its tenets, not just on the opinion of supposed authority figures. Einstein's theories of general & special relativity set science on a wildly blinkered course, and it's important to remember that Nicola Tesla's life's work - his research materials, patents & notebooks, were all confiscated by the US government, and classified, immediately upon his death. There's a very, very good reason for why that happened. It s because Tesla was on the right track, and his insights/ inventions were of immense value & importance to national security. They were also incredibly dangerous, from the perspective of the petroleum cartels - he had devised ways to give free energy to the world, without wires. It is the greatest travesty of modern times, that his work was squirrelled away, never to see the light of day again. And yet, there exists still, a mafioso approach to controlling & subduing any developments which might be damaging to the status quo (the need of the rich to continually siphon ever-increasing amounts of wealth from the poorest people on Earth - to set men & women in modern times as perpetual-debtor-wage-slaves of only slightly higher status than they would have encountered as slaves in ancient times, relatively speaking...) It is in the interests of the mighty to suppress free thought, and particularly to stop them from encountering information which might cause them to reassess their priorities in this life, on this world.

The thing is, coming back to the point - you haven't actually addressed the problem highlighted by the thread itself; you are only addressing your opinion of the Flat Earth theory, and thus you are off-topic.

The problem raised by this thread is not the validity or otherwise of the Flat Earth theory - the problem being addressed here is the fact that the Azimuthal Equidistant Projection on the NullSchool.net website, has been removed, and has instead been replaced with the HTML code for the common Orthographic Projection, which, as noted, is in fact the default map projection for the NulLSchool.net website. Thus it appears (due to the fact that the AE projection was formerly in place correctly on that site) that CENSORSHIP has occurred, perhaps because 'someone' realised that AE projection real-time supercomputer data could yield evidence in support of at least some of the anomalous issues being addressed by Flat Earth proponents/ investigators.

The reason that this CENSORSHIP is a problem is very, very obvious. The sort of data which is otherwise present in all the NullSchool.net projections, with regards wind speed & direction, tides, wave patterns, particulate distribution & chemical dispersion, etc, all delivered in real-time by a supercomputer which is processing data from thousands of weather stations across the globe, would potentially offer insights which could start to put to rest some of the theoretical premises of Flat Earth model's proponents/ investigators (not 'cultists', as you call them - showing your bias & the fact that you are attempting to influence the unbiased, generally interested & perhaps genuinely intrigued third party participants either viewing or commenting on this thread, attempting to cause them to disregard the questions at the heart of all this Flat Earth speculation).

The root of the problem concerning the apparent censorship of the Azimuthal Equidistant Projection, is that the data could be useful not only to Flat Earth investigators, but also to Flat Earth debunkers. The conspicuous absence of the Azimuthal Equidistant data from NullSchool.net site, NO LONGER AVAILABLE despite having been available recently, means that any potentially detailed & data-supported debate is entirely shut down before it can even begin - at least in terms of having lost the use of the highly accurate & potentially suggestive supporting evidence from a real-time supercomputer no less, which otherwise would have been available for that purpose.

As it portends to the analysis of an Azimuthal Equidistant map projection, the supercomputer data would quite possibly yield direct supporting evidence in favour of a Flat Earth, a Hollow Earth, or a Universal Simulation hypothesis. Anomalous weather/ oceanographic/ particulate distribution/ chemical dispersion data, when viewed in the context of the Azimuthal Equidistant Projection, could very well make people think twice before utterly dismissing the entirety of the Flat Earth, Hollow Earth, or Universal Simulation hypotheses.

Ignorant Ape: What do you think of the fact that an Orthographic Projection has been substituted for the previously extant Azimuthal Equidistant Projection..? Do you not find it to be a little too 'convenient', a gift of sorts, benefiting only those who aggressively debunk the theory/ theories noted?

In terms of the current situation of disinformation & malicious targeting of Flat Earth proponents/ investigators, it's plain to see that an extremely hostile online environment has been wilfully created around anyone who tries to provide information concerning the anomalous mysteries which led them to believe in the possibility of a Flat Earth model to describe Reality.
