What you're describing reminds me of the HANGOVER (2009) movie. Argh... "OMG the funniest movie ever ZOMG!!!" Review after review in IMDb, I mean pages like that. Finally saw it and was left hungover. I mean it was 'fun', but FUNNY anything like spectacular??? NOPE! Even the party animal edginess of it... For a Hard knocks pre-Millennial: NOPE! My girlfriend was just as flabbergasted about it I was. We kept waiting to laugh. But we werent at the theaterrs where they must have had nitrous oxide pumping into there to set off the 'waves of laughter' (laughter being contagious just like yawns) that occur in a comedy club / theater once one person erupts and triggers it across the audience.

The best part was I immediately realized it was like a plot theft from "Very Bad Things (1998)". As we were watching I set it to download and by the time Hangover ended we turned that on and sure enough the first like 2 minutes are almost verbatim copied. Very Bad Things being a far better film in terms of acting / casting / script / comedy / edginess, BTW.

It's all just opinions.

And Forrest Gump was really good. But yeah, I thought that Titanic sucked.

Forest Gump is VERY good. Jenny is not just his girlfriend she dies of what later is known as AIDS. She was an IV drug user....just so you know.
