When I came to ATS in 2013, I had a huge head full of both science and Metaphysics,
but I knew absolutely ZERO about UFOlogy.

I don't know why I even started reading the forum.. I've never been interested in
UFOlogy. I always thought that there was little or no evidence for UFO's and a lot
of hysteria and self-delusion about it.

Of course I was partially wrong.. and somewhat right.

When I was on my personal "spiritual quest", I left behind the two mystical organizations
I was involved with.. one for over 20 years.. and one for a couple years.. everyone
thought I was crazy to "leave the nest". And none of them approved that i was going
to look into "crazy stuff". (Pot calling the kettle black you know).

After reading quite a bit of stuff in the UFO forum, I started to learn a lot about
deception.. I never realized just how deep the deception went..

Of course I was an expert on deception when it came to metaphysics and religion..
those subjects are a good 95% full of it, just like UFOlogy.

It didn't dawn on me right away.. that for all intents and purposes.. religion..
metaphysics and UFOlogy were in bed with each other.. and always had been..
that perhaps (Kevin from 2013 talking here..) that they were the very same
phenonemon.. or at least very similar.

Well I don't actually want to drone on about metaphysics/UFOlogy in this post;
its' really about saying thank you.

THE GUT
made quite an impression on me.. his research borders on brilliant.. it's
a main staple in the UFO forums.. I'd never have met Jacques Vallee if
it weren't for THE GUT.. as I was so fascinated by what Valee was saying
and The GUT was saying about him.. that I had to become friends with
JV to see what all the fuss was about. JV has made a huge impact on
my life. Also I was not up on some very important authors.. such as
George Hansen.. my own mystical background being more oriented to
Eastern Shamanism from 5000 years ago, than such erudite modern
scholars. I owe a lot to THE GUT.

MirageMan
has made quite an impression on me. He's a very level-headed fellow..
who is an expert researcher on US Government UFO deception and
related topics. Soon after meeting him online, I started bombing his
posts with my "wackiness". He welcomed my interesting theories
and made me feel welcome, even though I KNEW NOTHING about
95% of UFOLogy at that time. As it turns out, my theories aren't
so wacky after all... that they are being embraced at the deepest
levels by various people who are very respected.

Kandinsky
I still don't know him well, as he's a moderator and plays things
close to the chest.. but during some hard times on the forums
a few years back, he's always been a calming/rational voice
that I deeply appreciate.

Isaac Koi
I don't know Isaac from Adam, and am not very familiar with
his work.. but I admire the man.. he's an international
treasure. The sheer volume of great information he digs
up and makes available is amazing. Thank you Isaac.

Other Friends..
Thank you! you know who you are. Maybe you are not
international UFO scholars, but I appreciate you too!
The journey is better, because you are here with us.

Thats all ...

Thank you everyone and thank you ATS Staff!

Thank YOU for dropping by.
I absolutely loved your contributions. We didn't interact that much but when I was new here you did take up some of my posts and discuss some very interesting ideas, for which I am grateful.

I have to also say that you picked some excellent examples above.
Nice to hear from you!
Cheers.

I've not circled anywhere..

I've had one small change in my theory after 5 years.. that's it.

but one person's alien is another person's delusion is another
person's alien AI.. is another person's laws of physics.

We all see what we want to see.. we cherry pick..

I'm not all that interested in posting my theory so much
anymore.. the people who need to have all the details
have it.

Your posts are always appreciated.

Thank you for including me in that list of stellar minds, Kev. I'm honored that you did. I've learned from you too!!

I don't know all that much, but I have learned who NOT to trust.

My own sightings (Two. One an amazing sight and one just baffling) have contributed to a lifelong and burning curiosity.

That depth of curiosity that most of us share has left me with a passion for outing those who would abuse and deceive us. Once we know who not to listen to, we have a clearer picture (hopefully) as regards more fruitful avenues.

I'm only a little jealous lol that you and Dr. Vallee have spent time together and continue correspondence, but it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Love you, Brother! Looking forward to shaking your hand and giving you a big bro hug one day!

Thank you young Kevin for the mention. I appreciate your input very much too.

My own theory was that perhaps in the vast history of the human race we may have been contacted or even visited by someone from elsewhere maybe once or twice at most. I think mainstream science will probably beat the ufo community to it all now.

Instead I ended up on a journey of discovering what seems to be outright deception in the main from two seemingly separate groups (but perhaps not beneath the surface) that aim to convince those who 'want to believe' to 'deeply believe' in an alien mythology.

Firstly are the conference speaking, book writing, radio hosting, TV talking charlatans who tell you aliens are here, there and everywhere. The culmination being that MUFON were seemingly managed by proxy by Bigelow since at least the dawn of this century. MUFON finally embraced the commercially exploitive potential with their 'Secret Space Program' symposium this year. Science traded for $$$.

Secondly is the constant meddling by the intel boys which seems to go back to the days of Adamski. They have created a whole UFO mythos to conceal secret experiments, spy on people and probably other things we have yet to or will never discover.

Somewhere between all that are some genuine unsolved cases. But there is a big reluctance by the big name UFOtainers to actually solve anything. They need to keep you believing in aliens in spaceships. As do the intel boys and girls.

Even though the answers probably lie in a totally different direction.

Oh and I do find it amusing that very few people ever pick up on when I am not being very serious on here.

I wonder what that could be?

Don't feel bad.

I did this big exotic visual meme, about how my wife and I invented the
practice of using a Keurig (with K kup wedged inside to trigger the
device) to make ramen soup and shared it with some friends.

Nobody laughed.

I even trotted out Sean Bean.

it was a no go on the laughter-tay.

I find it interesting that you completely omitted the "other theory of UFOlogy"
but then again, that's not your specialty.

Me neither. I have no idea what you just said

The original and best Mr. Bean of course.

There is no other theory Kev. But then if you look at my avatar you'll note it says "I'm a Big Country member."

Anyone remember?

ATV? Quad-bikes? You are way off my friend.

It's all about what you remember when I say "I'm a Big Country Member"

As for Sean Bean. I agree with the Japanese when they say he is "a road of clap".

Nothing ominous.

I wasn't Catholic or Crowley or Temple of Set or any disreputable
organizations. There's not a single member of those two organizations
that wouldn't throw themselves in front of a car to save a child..
maybe even a dog.

Ok I'm not sure why I'm replying to this thread, i like the whole UFO subject and I saw you thread that had a good flag/reply ration so assumed it would be good. Now I've read it I just wanted to say that since I've been on ATS my knowledge has expanded ten fold. I don't often get into conversations on the UFO forums as my responses and knowledge are limited. I lurk on he UFO threads but I often get involved in other subjects, not to steal the spot light from the other users you have mentioned but I see Mirage Man and IsaacKoi pop up often and they provide some great information, if I had more time I'd love to dive into some of their threads

What I'm getting at, is when you say to people 'oh I'm a member of a conspiracy/alternate news forum' people often judge you straight away as a conspiracy nut job. However those people don't see the full extent of what some of the ATS experts actually provide on this forum ATS has a lot of interesting members who provide solid evidence and information and to think some members are so popular they have been interviews for TV shows and I'm sure some high profile people share their knowledge on ATS

I come to ATS to get to the bottom of the story and to sift through all the BS that's often thrown in our faces by main stream media. 7 years on this website I still feel like a newbie but thanks to its members It's such a great forum.. The experts on here are brilliant even when you ask the most ridiculous questions they still have time to help you out. So I suppose I'll join you and say thank you to ATS and those members with the massive brains and researching skills for providing such great information for everyone to read

Star and flag for your post, the experts need a pat on the back from time to time and have then reminded how grateful we are to have them. I really don't know what I would do without ATS it's one of the only few websites i visit

The Skids, the band that Big Country could have been...

I'll stop the frivolity now. It's bedtime in Blighty.
