I would celebrate it by eating some stereotypically black foods ("soul" food, if you will), but I already do that. That's a problem. Any overt celebration that includes what might be considered black food or clothing or behavior is just going to look stereotypical.

It's funny cause it's true. Back home in Louisiana, we all eat the same thing. If I wined up walking through a black neighborhood eating popeyes, i'm just eating what ever other person enjoys, but yeah, it would be considered racist for anyone not in the know. It's pretty sad... I love me some fried chicken, yeah!

Every summer, you'll see a picnic table in the park with a bunch of white and black kids eating their share and slice of a watermelon some mother brought along.

When I was a kid... There was this truck with two old black guys that would drive around town, 5-10 miles per hour mind you, in a really old beatup flatbed full of fruits. Over the loudspeaker with a CB walkie in hand...

"Watermelon.... Cantaloupes.... Sweet Peaches.... Dew Melons..." etc.... One of the fond memories of my youth. I can still hear it in my memory as plain as day. I can even still remember their faces. They drove down every single road in that small town and sold their fruits and we all enjoyed them. Sounds kinda counter racist to me

Maybe Omarosa can hire someone to write a book. "How To Look Smart - for Dummies" would be a good title.

My wife's aunt is 92 years old.

I love that woman to death, the stories she can tell are amazing.

She worked as a nanny, raising the rich white folks kids.

Those kids are now in their 60-80's.

They are always stopping by her house to bring her food, firewood, and to help her with maintenance on the old farm house she lives in.

Yep, we lived outside of Okeechobee FL in the 60's.

Same thing. Truck with melons and fruit right off the vine.

Left town damn near empty.

Not sure the prices but i'll go with 25 cents for a watermelon. No scales.
