Pole shift Possibility

YEah, losing our magnetic shield isn't a good thing. If people are looking for a potential disaster with more oomph than the usual conspiracy theory, science has a few to offer.

They are up front that besides bad storms, water and food shortages and loss of waterfront real estate, global warming has an end game where the sea will acidify and algae making most of our o2 will die. That might pose some problems, I'd think.

Behind door # 2 we have the magnetic pole shift (different from the crustal slippage posited in the 1950s). As the Earth's mag field weakens over some period of time likely to be at least a century, and like now, we will be exposed to more radiation and the solar wind will blow some of our atmosphere away, creating some interesting dynamics not conducive to our biosphere.

Meh... we made some great art and had some laughs.

As we cannot see or feel the presence of the geomagnetic field now, we most likely would not notice any significant change from a reversa

Weather may be effected, higher risk of skin cancer as for Earthquakes why do you think it would have any effect.

Sorry for the delay in my response.

Earthquakes are going to be affected by magma moving. If the magnetic field is moving the magma will align according to the actual location of the magnetic poles. Shifting mag pole means shifting magma.
