One issue at a time. If it were me in that horrible office, I'd start with infrastructure. Allow this issue of immigration to simmer down a bit, it's too close to blowing up all over everyone. Back burner it for now, and concentrate on something that might be able to repair some of the fissures on the Hill.

Because, like it or not, he going to need Democratic votes. It's easier to get 'em, if he holds out an olive branch. If they don't accept it, that's on them, he made the attempt.

That's what I'd do. His mileage may vary.

Totally agreed. ....I can tell you from experience the old ROE were a detriment to our war fighters

I hope these new ones priorities American lives over those of the terrorists to a great degree.

Your concern w trial is understandable. But the ROE , won’t affect that area much I hope

Thank you for your service and insights on this.

I have heard from my friends that have served that have told me stories of how hampered they were by ROE's, and it was enough to make my blood boil.

To put your life on the line like that inspite of rule from your own country that places you in far more danger is yet another reason I have so much respect for people like you that have served.

Me too Grambler one buddy just got back a few weeks ago.... I hated to hear of the ROE... More reason to NOT allow the Dem's back in power when I wasn't and R before......

I've had farts that contained more substance than Kennedy's speech.

If your fart contains substance it is no longer a fart

Man, I had that problem this morning.I guess the saying is true: As you get older never trust a fart.

The definition of a surprise is a fart with a lump in it.

Happens to the best of us.

Trump is the Lump in the Dems farts! HAha!!

Oh wait....still funny.

I can't believe i put a star and and LOL over that "shat".

It is no longer Obamacare. It is now trumpcare. That’s what the republicans gave us after 8 yrs of whining and lying about a better plan.

Medicare for all.

The only thing that as changed is the removal of the individual mandate. Are you claiming that the Obamacare plan was so weak, so unstable, so fragile that one single change destroyed it?

I read your exchange with burdman. Obamacare caused you to have to take out a loan. Not Trumpcare. There's no such thing as Trumpcare. The attempt to create one failed. You are still living under Obamacare. You have insurance, you pay for insurance, but it doesn't pay enough when you need it... that is Obamacare.

Without mandate, it is no longer Obamacare.

I had insurance long before Obamacare. It has always sucked. Obamacare subsidized to include poor and regulated junk insurance. Trump has removed the legs from Obamacare and it is trumpcare now.

That's total unadulterated BS, typical liberal hypocrisy and spin!!!

Democrats spent two years telling every single person in America, one thousand times over, "It isn't 'Obamacare', but the American Care Act (or whatever)"...distancing Obama from all of it. Now, Trump changes the mandate and overnight it INSTANTLY becomes 'Trumpcare'. It's just further proof how screwed up the whole initiative is / was! It's also further proof that the "we'll have to pass it to see what's in it" (Pelosi) was toxic legislation from the very beginning...and Democrats knew this all along!!

I wish democrats would stow this crap to use on people with an IQ of an axe handle!

edit...Trump didn't create it (at all)! Why should he now suddenly own it? Why? Because the democrats knew it sucked all along, that's why!!! Now they can't wait to drop it like a hot rock and blame it on someone else! Pretty hypocritical, don't you think??? (Uggh, it makes me want to SCREAM!)

I will not respond to your personal attacks. It is not BS. If the repubs delivered on their 8 yr promise of lower costs, why are the 3 rich amigos stepping in?

It is trumps economy and policies. He changed Obamacare, he owns it. The good news is enrollment was good.

Nothing personal about it...your statement was complete BS!

Question for you...if Obamacare was so great, why then are democrats so eager to re-name it something else, hmmmmmm??? So eager to rename it after what they believe is a reincarnation of the Devil himself???

You should be able to easily respond to this question...IF you know what you're talking about.

You won't 'respond', because you have nothing for a rejoinder!

edit...oh, and did the democrats deliver on their 8 year promise to lower healthcare costs?????? Absolutely NOT!!

Hey, I was born at night, but I wasn't born last night!

edit II...It's also further proof (as if we need any) that...SOCIALISM SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK!!!

Why do your ideas always fail? Because of comments like this maybe?

Many people paid the fine, it was cheaper to pay the fine, be without insurance and that's what some had to do to eat. IF you made too much money to be on the list but not enough to buy insurance you had to pay the fine.

I listened to interviews of republican lawmakers on cspan for 8 yrs rant about Obamacare They are the ones who told us Obamacare is bad, they have a better plan. They are full of bs and their cult voters.

I don’t know what other Dems call it now, but it is trumpcare.

Explains a lot.

It’s hard to pay the bills when the medical bill collectors start taking 25% of your wages for the ER. Living on the luck that you will never be sick or injured is the trumpcare.

Yup. And infrastructure spending should have plenty of pork to go around, and provide ample opportunity for staged outrage so it looks like the good fight was made by all.

I think many times you and I disagree ideologically, but I would agree with you on your point...except for one detail.

Starting with a program of infrastructure would indeed be a good starting point. And, it does offer something both democrats and party republicans can agree on...spending money. However, the fly in the ointment right now is the democrats have gone so far extreme left that not even their broadest base, the unions, can identify with their politics, policies and agenda anymore.

In any case, it would be a good starting point. It's not too late to go there either. In fact, it's still early yet.

Yes.

Now the argument can shift to how bad the ACA, (Omabacare) was/is. Politics at its worse.

Enough of the niceties. I did not vote for this man because I wanted to hang out with him. I voted for him because I expected a can do guy. I got it. I don't want him bowing to any world leaders. Shake their hand look them in the eye and let them know we are the most benevolent country, but not stupid, and one of the toughest in the neighborhood if pushed. Europe is over run with Muslims. Women are being raped by the bushel full. NOT HERE NOT NOW NOT EVER!!!
I quote Sir Winston Churchill again, " Islam is to a man what rabies is to a dog." Chew on that liberals.

What you 'listened' to was 8 years of people with a rational thinking process calling a spade a spade! That's what you listened to.

Regardless of your feeble attempts to re-brand Obamacare as something else, to protect your savior, the fact remains...if it looks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck...it's probably a duck. Same goes for a piece of crap!

I know you don't care what democrats call it now...just so long as they don't have to call it something they came up with! And that's really the heart of the matter.

You can call conservative voters cult members all you want, but the reality is that so called 'cult' is a lot more dialed in to rational economic policies than just about everyone on the left! Period.

edit...yeah, it's 'trumpcare' in your little world of unicorns and rainbows!
