This is nothing but an inconvenience to him at the moment.

That's not really true. He went from being Wray's second to sitting on the couch. All the investigations being run through his desk, he's now on the outside looking in at. He will probably be kept in the loop by friends, he might even retain some sway, but he went from a position of prime authority to an outside influence. That might be huge once we see the context that led to him being booted/retiring.

And everything you just said was about to happen to him in March anyway, his retirement literally just got moved up 2 months. Big whoop.

IF the memo is true.

No such thing as a true memo.

A Memo is a summary, which automatically means you've got to "cherry pick" the things you think are "important" and "significant" in relation to the "viewpoint" you're trying to convey in the summary.

That's why there's a Republican Memo, and a different Democrat Memo.

They each choose to present the part of the truth that is beneficial to their side.

You want the truth? Then you've got to see the underlying documentation on which these memos are based. Both sides are likely leaving out some "critical things" that would shape the truth in an even more meaningful "third direction."

There's no truth. Just politics.

Surely there must be some Conservatives here that hold their own council still and don't believe 100% of what Trump and company say....

I know of only two conservatives on this website. The rest just call themselves conservative, but are in fact authoritarian zealot chicken#s.

Everyone's authoritarian when you're a socialist. You aren't saying much.

If you believe he was having his agents rewrite FD-302's of otherwise tainting investigations or somehow possibly hindering the OIG or congressional investigation, then yeah, it is a big whoop.

IF, btw, he really had agents rewrite FD-302's, watch the long list of appeals on every case that ran through his desk, regardless of what the subject was or if it was connected. Might explain why neither the FBI or Justice wanted to open that box.

And if any of those 302's are connected to Mueller's investigation, we're going to watch that sideshow collapse faster than anyone ever thought possible.

You poor thing. You're really spun up lately. Just think, at least 3 more years of this. Are you gonna make it?

Gonna make it? Of course. This is great!

If Hillary was president, we would listen to the wing nuts bitch and moan, but since Trump is in office we have had a plethora of examples in which the Right has exposed themselves as hypocrites, liars and full of #.

Not to mention arrogant. Oh, the arrogance is thick.

Man, good luck getting some reasonableness on ATS nowadays!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing will change until people quit labeling others, and to be honest it is quite hard as a lot of people just reinforce their own awful stereotypes. I am conservative on some issue and liberal on others. Its about the issue at hand...not an overall persona.
Now as to Nancy...dude I cannot find one redeeming quality.
As far as Trump....he is an arrogant ass, but he has wound Washington around the bend and is draining the swamp, so I am willing to overlook his many personal fallacies and support him.

Its not widely reported, but the Chinese have responded to his tariffs on chinese solar panels by looking to build a factory in the US. This dude seems to be on fire. I am sick of china ripping off everything and then selling it for 1/4 the price on e-bay. Anyway...should be in the rant section!!!!!!!

How about the recent Russian Sanctions being 'swept under the rug' today by the Trump administration. Does anyone else not find that bizarrely strange that sanctions endorsed by even the Republican caucus is ignored by the Trump administration?

That's not meant to divert the discussion, just that I find it strange that I haven't seen it mentioned yet while there's several Nancy Pelosi threads floating around today.

OK, that interview was very telling. The Dem's are in panic mode.

I'd kind of written the memo off as more sleight of hand, but watching Pelosi react that way is changing my mind. There may well be something to this memo. Something dangerous to people Pelosi wants to protect. She did herself no good and made the memo appear even more important.

I stand by what I said. The majority of those that call themselves conservatives wouldn't know what it was, even if it was wearing spandex covered in Nascar logos and flying off the top ropes in to the back of a pickup truck filled with Busch Light.

While you present a visual aid for those that need such things, you fail to present an actual point.

Pelosi is such a scumbag. When you look at her you can just tell she's lying through her teeth. She's all about not upsetting her donor and attacking anything Republican. See how they're talking about the memo and she starts talking about the Tax thing. Total deflection.

Anyone who reads my posts on here, knows I detest most of the Republicans we talk about on here, but I need to show you that the stench is real on both sides of the aisle.

I'm pleading with all of you to vote independent next time or if that isn't an option to vote out the incumbent candidate whether it's republican or democrat so we can start draining the swamp. Trump apparently doesn't intent to, so it's up to us and we'll do it with our votes.

I was surprised it seemed so aimless considering that they've known this was coming for a week. Thought they'd have a polished debunk already. Instead we got a lot of disjointed statements "it's not true", " this isn't how intelligence works", "it's a distraction from tax cuts", " they're trying to shut down the government ", ... Really odd.

The Dems can say the memo is a bunch of lies 'till they're blue in the face, but the look of panic in Schiff's eyes tells an entirely different story, as does the fact that Pelosi seems to have totally lost what little sanity she had left. This is a big deal.

Notice all politicians use the "Intelligence" or "Classified" or "National Security" speak when it's something they don't like. Knowing that all of those statements are so broad as to nearly ecompass everything and anything. Pathetic.

They seem to be slowly congealing around the narrative that Trump is going to fire Rosenstein, and replace him with someone who'll shut down Mueller's probe. But the fact that it's taken them so long to decide how to spin this is amazing. As you've said, they've had a week to craft a response, and like a student who forgot about his book report they're trying to scratch something out some BS on the bus to school.

I don't belong to or support either Party so basically I'm just watching the show, but that interview is damning. Only a hardcore Pelosi supporter could not see that there is something to this after watching her behavior.

Trump worries me, but she scares me. Trump is a passing thing, but Pelosi is the window into Congress and it's culture.

It's time they drop the national security ruse and let we the people see inside, so we know who to get rid of.

LOL! Ron DeSantis is trolling Schiff on Twitter:

House Intel should vote to release the Schiff counter-memo. It’s basically a sloppy, Chewbacca defense rejoinder to the Nunes memo that unwittingly buttresses concerns raised in the Nunes memo.

"Chewbacca defense." I love it.
