I didn't know Neo Nazi's were left wingers. Oh wait, reality check, they aren't. They are big time Trump supporters.

So, by your logic, anyone involved with the KKK are bg time Hillary "I'm with her" supporters. Good to know.

Political dissidents / those who opposed the Nazis were dealt with in the German legal system and not by the SS.

Whaaa? The master race saw all other peoples and cultures as enemies of state. Went to great difficulty to exterminate and or enslave them where ever they encountered them. The SS were the head extermination Branch for the Nazi High Command.

Nazi race rhetoric was the excuse used to conquer and murder nations for territory, resources and control. Ideology be damned, not one of the hi command measured up to Aryan Ideals. You think they were aware of this?

Huh? Is it news to you that white power types are right wingers and are no where near the Center or the Left on the political spectrum? And this isn’t only an American thing either.

Right-wingers??

A LOT more of that meme comes from the left, sir, not the right. It is the 'right' that supports Israel, not the left.

The statement is an outright fabrication.

The liberal side has been the driving force in the past to minimalize the Holocaust and blame it all as a Zionist propaganda ploy to validate Israel's existence. As in saying some Jews died but far lower numbers than what is considered the count of close to 6 million. They even debated on ATS that the number of canisters used is proof of low number even though the Germans kept extremely good records on everything.

One area people fail to think about was the Ghettos. This was where whole families in the millions were robbed of all their possessions, lands, houses and businesses to be dumped into Ghettos to live on 300 calories per day for the lucky ones with almost zero sanitation and clean water.

There is so much wrong there I would not even know where to start...lol

It seems the term "right wingers" is used these days as a liberal meme to represent most conservatives. I never hear anyone call Communist and extreme socialist "left Wingers". It seems it is a way to lump the word "right" with Nazism and Fascism as they lump Trump with the same.

When we look back through history America has fought against BOTH the far right and far left, so I don't think it is good to associate either America's left or right with the extreme of what we actually fight against.

Thank you and good to know. I like history however I admit I dont know that much about Portugal during WWII. One of those countries that really didnt seem to make the history books.

Being neutral and far from the front lines, there wasn't much need to talk about Portugal in the WWII books, as most talk about military actions and the problems faced by civilians in the countries occupied by the Nazi forces.

But Portugal's neutrality and an agreement with Spain helped keep the whole Iberian Peninsula out of the war, as if Portugal had sided with the Allies then, most certainly, Spain would side with Germany, his old allies in the Spanish Civil War.

Also, although Portugal kept its neutrality, we leased an airbase in the Azores to help the UK when they asked for it, in accordance with the oldest active alliance between two countries, the Anglo-Portuguese Treaty of 1373. Latter the UK signed an agreement with the US and base was also used by US forces.

Besides that, Portugal was the main route out of Europe for the refugees that were trying to go to the Americas, and we can see references to that in the movie Casablanca.

by the way: is donald trump real? greets from munich!

Ya see our dads told us when we were just little ones that in nazi Germany they registered the arms first and then went and picked em up door to door, son don't let that happen again......

That isn't true, the Nazis relaxed gun laws to make it easier for all citizens (except Jews) to have guns, that way they could even count on the people to do some of their dirty work against the Jews.

I remember my uncle Paul said that he had run from the German army in WW2. He never really said why just that they had to get out. He never talked about his parents either. I just know he said they had to stay ahead of the German army and to get out of the country. He was 12 at the time and said he could hear artillery fire while running. That is all he ever said about it. Makes a person wonder how some can be so evil.

Jews were forced to surrender all their personal belongings, including cash, valuable and their residences.

This is explained in the bible,

Giving Up All To Follow Jesus

Before people can enter into heaven, they have to get rid of all their earthly posessions.

Can't take your possessions with you.

Up until the end of the war the Nazis had murdered about 10-12 million people in their concentration / death camps, with approximately 6 million of them being Jews. The other groups -

Ok. So, we all accept that Hitler killed "the body" of many people, including 6 million Jews.

But, has anyone asked the question "Where did the 6 million Jewish souls go?"

The body is not alive, only the soul is alive. And Jesus said not to worry about people like Hitler who can only kill the body.

So, why is anybody worried about the holocaust?

It's the same Judeo-Christian belief system.

What am I missing here?

There's a misconception that Hitler had the approval of a vast majority of Germans and it wasn't the case. A few bodies swinging from lampposts in market squares makes people edgy. No-knock night visits to neighbours doesn't help either.

A lot of Germans left the country rather than be a party to Nazism. Your family could have been upright Germans who refused to conform and saw escape as the only way out. Not everyone had the huge balls of Landmesser and it was still a brave thing to leave Germany.

My Grandfather was an officer in the British Second Army in WWII. He was present at the liberation of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, a place where the Nazis dumped thousands of Jews and other prisoners, with nowhere near enough food, or water, or medical supplies, with a typhus epidemic breaking out because of lice, all because the Nazis regarded them as untermenchen.
What he saw there haunted him for the rest of his life.

Was Jesus then insane?

Did he not know what he was talking about?

Is there no soul?

Is the body all there is?

Is it insane to believe any religion?

Oh, that's not the issue. The issue is that it's completely unrelated to the topic of the thread.

According to a lot of righwingers and neonazis,

You don't need to be a right-wing neo-nazi to proclaim ignorantly that the Holocaust did not happen. Half the Arab world deny the Holocaust. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the ex-Iranian president of Iran, is a Holocaust denier. Hamas have denied the Holocaust, and on and on.
