Trey Gowdy made that remark that we will remember him more fondly when it all ends. Though that came not from Q if i remember correctly. I guess it all depends what Gowdy is doing next.

You guys are making a lot of sense about Comey.

It's really as if he's walking a swinging tightrope...desperately trying not to fall.

He only had one person he was answering to, and that was Obama.
Lynch was being directed by Obama to give Comey a side run, if
the two of them were not outright in it together.

In the end, if Obama, Lynch and Comey never go down for anything
we have our answer right there.

There was a reason Comey let others do the editing.
That way, he could simply point to them.

Its funny you posted this. I didn't see it until I posted something similar below. I really don't get an evil vibe from him. I think he got sucked into some stuff and couldn't get out.

I'm sure he knows how this works. Where could he go? Tell who? Nobody.

Comey may be genuinely conflicted. He did Obama/Lynch's bidding when dismissing Hillary's crimes as "careless". And then 5 months later, his FBI brain reopens Hillary's criminal investigation, just before the 2016 election.

Strzok helped Comey draft the July 2016 Hillary exhoneration letter, and also the October 2016 letter that reopened her Criminal case.

If you recall, Loretta Lynch was LIVID when these two agents followed their oath/training, by reopening Hillary's criminal investigation due to new e-mails being found.

I'd like to know if Lynch squashed that before damaging e-mails were found. Hillary was cleared again in record time...WAY ahead of Comey's projection for reading all the e-mails.

I really think Gowdy is a really good guy. I generally trust what he says. Until he proves me wrong.

I mostly feel fear radiating from him. His eyes look tired. I am going to go back through his tweets and look at them through this lense. Maybe he is tweeting more recently because he feels a little more protected these days.

I have been on the fence about Comey in the past, but now at least to me
it seems he has showed his hand though his friend Ben Wittes.

That was all it took for me, that guy has a years worth of anti Trump
posts, intense, vitriolic posts on twitter.

Wittes is also now Comey's legal representation, along with being
the one who leaked to the NYT on Comey's behalf.
The two of them must be pretty darn close, so looking
into Wittes is like a mirror into Comey's mindset.

Once I realized this, I knew Trump was in for the fight of his life.

I also just remembered after the Memo came out how Comey was
reportedly calling Trump "crazy' and "outside the realm of normal"

If we're disappointed in this thread at the reaction to the news, imagine how much more disappointed you'd be if you had done all the footwork to get this out, and then your "colleagues" softpeddle this to the media and public trying to bury the story and paint you as a partisan hack.

I wasn't able to watch cable news yesterday, but I noticed last night that the local (Chicago) news didn't mention the Memo until after the Weather segment. About 18 minutes into their broadcasts. And of their 3 minutes of coverage, 2 minutes were of Democrats like Pelosi saying how it was a lie and distraction fabricated to ultimately end the Trump-Russia collusion probe.

Rather than waiting until all these investigations into Obama era people and practices are concluded, it would be best if Jeff Sessions appointed a Special Prosecutor or (as Fox talked about this morning), a Federal Grand Jury. Do like Mueller, and start "prosecuting as you go".

Since President Trump has no fear of speaking what's on his mind, his lack of comments about Jeff Sessions in recent months makes me apprehensive. He should be publically backing his #1 guy at the D.O.J. frequently.

I think POTUS is purposefully keeping quiet about Sessions in an effort to keep him OUT of the spotlight! I'm believing more & more that JS is doing more than we realize.

Holy crap...I never thought about him possibly telling someone else to flip. But it could definitely be interpreted that way!! He is clearly saying something other than what it appears he is.

Exactly. I think he just got in way over his head. He probably started out kinda cocky. Now he just looks weary and resigned. Whatever they lured him in with was not worth all of this, and it's written all over his face.

All roads lead back to Jeff Sessions for taking action. Rep. Paul Gosar should have every Congressman sign that letter. "Traitors to the U.S." is weighty, but 100% accurate.

I think Sessions is a white hat all the way. I think maybe they've put on a show, just to keep the bad actors confused. Maybe even to weed them out...it doesn't take much to send them into a spiral of stupid, during which they inadvertently unmask themselves.
