Lol.

That is a terrific argument..

What leg does a liar have to stand on calling another a liar?

If you dot get his misdirection you are pretty naive.

Yes you can criticize trump without comparing him to a person responsible for the murder of tens of millions of people.

Corruption and weaponizing of agencies is nothing new. Obama hopefully will be caught and exposed but it's hardly new.

The Republicans love their propaganda just the same. Look at the last Republican administration.

Look at the grandstanding over the Mueller probe. People fully believe whatever side they chose before the investigation ever happened. It has nothing to do with facts. It's about being told what you want to hear.

I get slammed every day on ats for not buying the bs. The narratives are as obvious as the news is fake. Yet they are regurgitated daily.

He is an actor I mean politician what do you expect.

It's been high drama all year. Trump is a massive dramatic actor himself. Look at the whole cherade of the fake news awards.

Exactly. Flake is right-on when he states attacking the media in the way Trump has, is Trump trying to make the news media illegitimate. It's dangerous for a free country. America's main purpose for creating a free press was to protect the public from a tyrannical and corrupt government. Not only does Trump claim everything that is critical of him as fake, he's trying to brainwash the American people to think they can't trust our country's news media. For someone claiming the news media is lying, he should be looking in the mirror. His own lack of credibility is a result of his own pathological lying not the result of the press. What's really ignorant is when the press proves their reports about his lies and contradictions with videos and recordings, Trump and his supporters still want to claim fake news!

It sure seems Trump and his supporters want "state sponsored news sources" like North Korea! These same Trump supporters who are always sounding the alarm about communism and dictatorships are all jumping on Trump's "Fake News" bandwagon which is heading in the exact direction of a governing system they have been so vehemently against!

I think a guy who regularly says false things pointing out others saying false this is obviously using propaganda.

Which was part of Stalin's tactic. Trying to get the public to believe the media is the enemy.

The public is well aware (yet they use the sources of their confirmation bias daily)

Omg!

I just read that Stalin liked to eat food, and wear pants.

Who does that sound like?

Yep, trump!

We are doomed!!!!

The *real* question is:

Would Stalin have liked McDonald's and KFC ?

It's only his first year. Give him some time.

Besides it's about getting the public to believe first so when you do it you can do it in mass.

When you use your 1st Amendment rights to criticize the media, you're Stalin.

Trump doesn't "attack" the media. As we saw last night, he points out when they LIE.

No, Trump only has a little tantrum when the MSM make an (claimed) incorrect statement, which makes him look bad.

He doesn't seem to mind, or feel a need to 'warn' the public when Fox news out right lies to make him look good...

Thats propaganda 101...

Anyone that compares trump to stalin as things stand today is in dire need of a history lesson.

Funny thing I heard almost no one showed up to this to his speech, not even much representation from the never trumpers.

So to sum up, the media being 90 percent anti trump, in some cases admitting its their job to take him down, making up stories to make him look bad, helping hillary get debate questions and being sycophantic for her, all of that is just the free press being the free press.

But when trump calls that out, now our country is in danger because the press is in danger of not being free.

And the cherry on top is the very people making this argument didnt say a word when Obama was ACTUALLY arresting and wiretapping reporters.

It was a dramatic grandstanding flash and pizzazz on flakes part. Look at the dudes hair and teeth he could sell used cars...

However he has a point. Which is trump trying to discredit the media only when they disagree with him. Not when they spin lies he agrees with.

And the guy lies as much as CNN. Right into the camera or twitter..

Obama being a terrible president has nothing g to do with the continuation of the pattern.

It's a bad argument. And plenty of independants were concerned about Obama and are also concerned about trump. It ain't black and white however hard you try and make it a partisan issue.

This topic can't be accurately assessed without people realizing that many media outlets do not engage in honest, independent, non partisan journalism. Even on a non partisan level, they often misrepresent foreign policy, policy issues, etc.

Those pesky journos and their Hammer and sickle mentality!

A journalists prerogative is to be impartial and call it as they see it, and when the leader of the free world can honestly call out someone without being called out himself then I will continue to laugh at the state of US politics.
