I'm from the UK but live in Canada. Now I might be late catching on or maybe I'm just over thinking, but I can't help but thinking we as a people (the human race) are slowly losing our freedom bit by bit. Regardless of country. Anyone else feel they are slowly being caged?

As a poli sci major I never thought anarchism was an ideology that may hold some weight

Not necessarily an extreme if based on the global populations needs.although extreme to some thinking, if it provides more freedoms globally without us being treated like cattle, wouldn't that be a good thing?

Can't and won't argue/disagree with that.

It just feels governments are getting bigger. Control is getting tighter. The political correctness generation is out of control and I don't think there is one world leader I trust

We weren't all deigned to agree on everything. By design, were supposed to acknowledge our differences socially and let them take a back seat to getting things done that are for the greater good of our countr(ies)y. Problem is, complacency, laziness and ignorance gave way to greed and lust for power. It's not a new phenomena either.

not really. I feel pretty darn free. I take the kids to beaches, parks, paintballing, swimming, movies, shopping at the mall, skating, free concerts, downtown to the museums.

The only way I could feel freer is if I got to strut around in public naked. Im good. Whats holding you down?? Besides the tundra I mean.

The problem with anarchy is human nature.

While many could handle a cooperative society, there would be those who went around enslaving others, raiding their hard-earned food stores, stealing, raping, murdering, destroying and otherwise seeking to become kings among men.

This is history. We developed the way we did because of the baser elements of humanity and our desire to live free of them. Anarchy is only as free as the nasty, Ill- intended sociopaths would allow. Look at what people do to each other and amplify it.

All you would have is a throw back to warring tribes, then feudalism. Etc.

Hi OP.

You are very correct noticing and having an instinct about the loss of some intrinsic liberty. I am from the UK and still stuck in the UK. Lucky you, you managed to escape to beautiful Canada. With all that wilderness you have a better shot at freedom than any of us.

I was just muttering to myself a moment ago;

Yes, I will not be eating too much today as I can't cope with going to the local supermarket and having to look at all the miserable aggressive faces that do look very poverty stricken indeed. They look like hell. Twenty years ago Cornish people, with all the fresh air, used to look well good; the girls were real country girls and the boys very handsome. Now everyone looks miserable. So many illnesses and infirmnities, miserable selfish old people, too nasty to inspire you to want to care for them, et c, moan, groan, moan.

I am not at all free, but I have one freedom that I use to full effect: THE FREEDOM OF WILL.

Our rights are being eroded to suit globalism as they see rights as too much red tape and damaging to potential profit margins. I feel like there is less law for me now and less health care. There is less opportunity and choice in housing, in employment. At work I must obet strict Marxist like DICTATES and not even allowed to talk about Kesus anymore. Some might fire me just for wearing a crucifix or stating certain moral standpoints and attitudes.

OP, you are right. It is all being manipulated this way. They are doing this to keep us under wraps. They are RISK MANAGING their wealth and power, to keep it that way. Truly, it is this that is the motive behind the scenes. What else could it be that would make them go to so much trouble? They are uniformizing and universalizing the populations so the little batteries exhibit the same automated responses, something that can be guranteed to be fully efficient.

I personally want to be empowered with employment opportunities and choices, education opportunities, social opportunities, leisure opportunities, health opportunities, welfare opportunities housing and location choices and opportunities. I want choices and opportunities in all walks of life. My choices and opportunities have dwindled in the past twenty years drastically. All these are now strictly rationed and in tight demand. Only the most aggressive, crafty and selfish will get better access than me. I am none of those things nor would I want to be. I can't compete in such a stampede so I withdrew into my alternative existence, into my own corner and I constructed something nice behind my front door. Inside here it is peaceful and gentle. Out there it is...well, Donald is so right...a #HOLE!

You are so lucky. Enjoy that nature and kiss Canada for me. I wish I could live in a country like that. I would be off mountainbiking in the wilderness all the time.
