You would do the same thing if you were in that situation and you were president. Be honest and admit it. You're just pissed that you don't get to be a benefactor.

Have any of you 'rocket scientists' consider there's a quid pro quo involved? One that perhaps avoids a general financial collapse?

You get the full story, then post it. Until then....the crying towels are in the restrooms...

Interesting, but bailing out/pardoning banks is a crappy thing to do.

Of course Obama gets a pass, but is that surprising?

Five year waiver DB, that's not right at all.

Jesus Christ!

Does everyone here have a reading comprehension problem?

Where is the f### did I ever defend it or even marginalize it?

I think giving banks a pass is wrong.

It was wrong when Bush did it.
It was wrong when Obama did it.
It was wrong when Trump did it.

I have always been consistent in this.

Yet people will marginalize or even excuse Obama, which I find hypocritical!

I didn't mention Obama, besides, I did actually agree how the world leaders had to deal with the banking crisis at the time, there was no choice it was that bad..you know it, I know it the world knows it, there was nothing in the kitty..end of. The issue of what caused it though has probably not gone away, and to give a bank a free licence for such an extended time as Trump has done is more than just get out of jail, it's an ecouragement to go bonkers on illicit dealings on an even bigger scale, and even more money stealing axcross the world. This one I will be watching very closely I can tell you.

Trump issued zero pardons to banks. Read the article, the headline doesn't match the content.

Report: Trump Admin Waives Part of Punishment for 5 Banks Convicted in Libor Scandal

www.democracynow.org...

In financial news, the International Business Times reports the Trump administration has quietly waived part of the punishment for five major banks that were convicted of manipulating global interest rates. The banks are Citigroup, JPMorgan, Barclays, UBS and Deutsche Bank. President Trump and his business empire owes at least $130 million in loans to Deutsche Bank. The global interest rate manipulation scandal, known as the Libor scandal, involved banks illegally manipulating the interest rate, which underpins trillions in global transactions.

Notice how your definition doesn't apply?

Report: Trump Admin Waives Part of Punishment for 5 Banks Convicted in Libor Scandal

I linked the federal register regarding this on page 2.

However, I suppose if some crackpot website says it, and you repeat it, it makes it true. /shrug

Notice how none of the synonyms are waived? Also, he didn't waive any of them. The EBSA delayed them.

The weird thing is, Italians Greeks Spanish, are actually putting their money into the German Bank, because they think if their currencies go down, they will be protected. Its a race to the bottom.

True that

America is nothing but a business enterprise

If they caught Trump jerking off in the West Wing it wouldn't matter as long as the oligarchs make their money!

Why can't Trump jerk off in the West Wing? All the other Presidents did.

I want to see the banks punished as much as you do but to say they have been "pardoned" is a lie.

I watched as Obama pardoned an entire country and sent billions of US tax dollars illegally in the middle of the night for reparations
Top THAT
:

If your refering to Iran your wrong as no US tax money was involved.

The money sent over was Iranian money being held in escrow from the 80's due to sanctions. The USA never had access to that money, they only had it frozen.

Wrong.

The money came from a little-known fund administered by the Treasury Department for settling litigation claims. The so-called Judgment Fund is taxpayer money Congress has permanently approved in the event it’s needed, allowing the president to bypass direct congressional approval to make a settlement.

Trump is going to clean up the swamp eh?

Trump constantly does things to make the tabloid and ratings hungry MSM keep their eyes off the ball and then goes and does corrupt actions that no body sees.

Here he pardons a bank that he owes millions of dollars to...

...

I agree - this is highly questionable. Yet all eyes are on whether he's grabbed ass or not, or if he tweeted something using funny words.

I'd say the POTUS can wave his dick around as much as the next guy, but this kind of wheeling and dealing is just not right.

1) Trump likely wasn't asked (because if he was, that may be improper)
2) It was an extension to pay, not waiving of their debt or pardoning of their crimes

I left a link yesterday, in the pornstar/trump thread, about Trump and how he let´s the Deutsche Bank off the hook.
And before he became Potus, i said again and again that i think he is not a billionaire but a debt billionaire. More than ever after he is refusing to show his taxes. A pathological self exposer that has nothing to offer than the money he says he owns, would use his tax documents to show the whole world how rich he is, if he would be really rich.

And that he is controllable because of his debts, for example by the Deutsche Bank. That the Deutsche Bank just has to say: Jump and Trump has to jump. Or the truth will be told.

And now, not a complete year after the Trump madness began...

But i guess that is tremendous, great, wonderful for MAGA, MAGA. I am pretty sure the Trumpeteers know why this is only to the best of Trumpistan and it´s wrong idol worshippers. But they would worship any idol that makes it hip and modern again to be a diehard that is allowed to spread hate and stupidty in public, without getting lynched or arrested.

Make ATS Great Again!

'Don't bite the hand that feeds you' comes to mind. He had an opportunity to overturn a POTUS tradition of giving these bastards a free pass. I still know folks who are reeling from 08. Banksters created the swamp - gonna be hard to drain whilst they retain their ultimate control of current affairs in the US, and the world.
