You may have read about the furore caused by clothing retailer H&M with their picture of a black kid wearing a hoodie with the message "Coolest Monkey in the Jungle"
H&M was forced to apologise but now the EFF in South Africa have invaded all the H&M stores, trashing them and vowing to keep them closed down.

Tshwane - A large group of protesters dressed in EFF regalia have stormed the H&M stores in Sandton, Menlyn Park and East Rand on Saturday, trashing the stores in an apparent protest of an online ad that has been labelled racist.
REZA Crime Network have reported shots fired at the East Rand H&M.

There is a certain class of people here in South Africa who are eating this stuff up ... the EFF is the fasting growing party in the country.
The EFF are promising to do all the things the ANC have not done: take away the land without compensation, nationalise all businesses, implement something called radical economic transformation.

Initially people regarded them as a joke but they have become a serious player and threat to a non-racial future of this country. They jump on any band-wagon, make a lot of noise and gain more and more supporters every day.

Just what the world needs more violent radicals. I get the outrage but it was obviously a mistake by H&M and a stupid designer.
The issue with this is that it can turn into a witchhunt mentality. It already is. And the reason for all the anger is never the target.

The irony of all this is that this political party with seats in parliament, protesting racism, are very anti-white. Which makes them ... racist. *sigh*

and if they succeed in closing down H&M in South Africa, a lot of people, mostly black, lose their jobs. Wonderful .

I have nothing against a peaceful protest etc. but violent action with these goals? They are the same ones that burn down schools and universities to protest expensive education.

Racist clothing items are still highly desirable. Looting took place:

Johannesburg – Police have confirmed that rubber bullets were used to disperse protestors wearing EFF regalia at the East Rand Mall on Saturday.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Lungelo Dlamini, said protestors had managed to gain entrance to the H&M shop in the East Rand Mall and steal several items.

This has been very informative, thank you for that.

Personally I enjoy creative protest, civil unrest with some infotainment, and there's a lot to protest. Starting a dialogue.

I don't know but when enough people are so fed up they become an actual political factor through a violent hate group, you got huge issues you need to start working on asap.
How's SA? Is the racism still that bad? Or is it more an economic class heritage thing?

There's already a slow motion genocide on whites in SA. Smart ones like Musk are getting out. I suggest the remainder do the same.

South Africa is showing all the classic signs of a failing state
1. Corrupt leadership
2. Large impoverished portion of the population
3. Greater gap between income classes
4. high incidences of violent crime
5. failing infrastructure

Add all of the above with a weak economy, the rise of parties that promise heaven and earth but can never deliver, so keep on blaming "white monopoly capital", fanning the flames of hatred and doing their best to cause divisions between races and classes.

Yet... the true story, the untold story is that relations between black and white, indian, and coloured in the peaceful middle classes has never been better. We all want the same thing, all have the same problems and get on perfectly well. It's the politicians (and media) that are doing their best to convince us that we all hate each other.

So, if we imagine that the company somehow did intend to portray black people as wild animals ..way to prove them wrong. They sure stand corrected now.

That's freakin scary.

Especially knowing what would happen if certain people in South Africa were allowed to have their way.

Lots of white genocide talk going on there these days.

There must be someone to continue to pay taxes and obey the law or the law is useless right? If everyone is an anarchist we'd be living in anarchy. There are always those who want to believe in systems, that they work for everyone's benefit or we'd have no systems.
