Being that it's unmanned is also a major concern. It could be vulnerable to unathorized access by non-state actors.

Right so the most logical course of action would be to stop provoking the rest of the world with our endless military conflicts and economic sanctions and deal with our problems back here.

I'd Flag you for that comment if i could

I dont think the usual suspects have the needed deep water equipment.

But maybe torpedos like these in deep sea launch pods could simply be hackable by internet access...

The recent so-called "Review of the US nuclear posture" is not new and is not a review!
It's what Obama has been in the process of doing since 2010, or better said, since the new Start treaty.

Unfortunately, repeating the "Posture" on a piece of paper, over and over again, hoping that the message sinks in, is not a very effective trick. Bush is out, Obama is out, lots of people are out ... the message isn't in!

Oh it's ingenious, and deadly as hell, but no, it's not without flaws. Everything has some flaw to it.
Except the tr3b.

It's not going to blow up any worse than previous proxy fights.

But they were supposed to completely destroy all EU/NATO forces in Syria already. There were some posts a few weeks ago that gave 48 hours until it happened, then a couple days later it was 24, then shock, nothing happened.

No nukes at all is a lot better idea, the money saved can be spent on housing.

100 MT nuclear bombs under the oceans......what could go wrong, right?

If you're feeling like some doom porn, check this video out, talking about detonating the Tsar Bomba in the Mariana Trench:

Of course some of the things listed in the vid are worst case scenarios, still, why take chances?

Aside from the obvious economic danger to the US economy coming from the "new Nuclear Posture", we could say there's a NATO and EU issue as well and a misunderstanding in Russian nuclear doctrine.

There's no need for Russian strategic forces to bomb its own people in case of a perceived loss of territory.

It will be enough to simply wipe out any NATO personnel and equipment attempting to establish any kind of outpost or NATO military presence in Ukraine or crossing any other RED LINE.
