Uhm I think one of the main differences, besides size, is that toilet paper dissolves pretty fast and kitchen paper does not. I tattoo using quality kitchen paper and not toiletpaper. I can assure you, they behave completely different when wet.

This is the correct answer. TP is made to break up when wet. KP is made to remain in tact so increasing the chance for a clogged pipe.
