It is, but not in the way you think.

All the evil in the world originates in us -- the humans, not in any system we choose to implement.

We could have a totally state controlled economy with all the most compassionate-sounding rules in the world that tell you your every need and waking desire is supposed to be completely provided, but because humans have to control the system and make sure it works, it wouldn't and people would end up being victimized and treated cruelly at some point along the line.

Why?

Because we're humans, and human beings are dicks.
