I wonder what they are going to come up with. What are they going to say "We spy on who ever we damn well please like going after journalist that lord Obama told us to go after" Obama had more journalist and political adversaries thrown in jail than any other president combined. This is not speculation, it's confirmed that Obama used the intelligence services as a political weapon. Everyone knows this and the democrats are either ok with this or pretend that it didn't happen. Either way, they look like idiots.

That's a bold accusation. Got a link that's not some right wing blog or publication like Brietbart? You said it's confirmed...confirm it!

Obama used the Espionage Act to put a record number of reporters' sources in jail, and Trump could be even worse

Can we spy on the government?

Is it legal?

Do the citizens have the right to know what their government is doing in secret?

After all, how are we to determine if they are doing what we sent them there to do?

Mr. G. I read your link, and it's a good catch. Right now, I'm following J. Assange, who is about to be kicked out of the Ecuadorean Embassy's bed stead, he's been occupying for the last few years. He criticized Spanish Human Rights violations, and that rubbed the Ecuadorean Gov't, the wrong way. They are still tight with their mother country.

Thanks for reading.

consider how draconian Obama was to the media, and then remember that the overwhelming majority of the MSM was quite favorable to him.

If Obama was this much of a threat to a sympathetic press, imagine if the press would have been as negative to Obama as they were to trump.

It would have been a massacre.

He was literally unconstitutionally spying on them. And it was a non issue.

Why did they just give him an Ecuadorian identity number then?

Probably because you have your fingers in your ears, and because this memorandum does not go nearly far enough in addressing the very existence of these systems, which regardless of the manner of their use, present a threat to liberty, freedom and privacy.

I will say this much.

For all that this is but a single step on a very long road, I am glad your President has taken it. Whether he follows through and has people in irons over the existence of these programs or not, as he damned well ought to, remains to be seen, but its a start.

Because they don't want him to make any big scene, being dragged out and off of those Embassy's grounds.?

At the chance of going off the reservation, I listened to a Prof. speak about the rise of Hitler and National Socialism, a few weeks ago, up at Moscow, Idaho. He made the point that the Communists tried to do a Putsch in Berlin, and Hitler responded with his Munich Beer Hall Putsch, but that this was a "counter Putsch, in case Bavaria needed to pull away from the Commies in Berlin. The Weimar brass knocked them both down, and Hitler got a year in Prison.

Obama may have believed he was creating a conspiratorial comunist Putsch, here in the U.S.A., instead of the militant Communist Putsch in Berlin in 1923. Twenty Three was the transition between Trotsky's militant communism, and Lenin's conspiratorial communism. So those Reds in Berlin may not have gotten the message that conspiracy was the way to go, now.

But Obama was raised on conspiratorial Communism, and now Trump is pulling off a Counter Putsch, against the domestic Commies. And guess what, they hate him with a purple passion. So after 100 years of their cr$p, we may finally be putting the Communist conspiracies behind us. And this may be the Heaven sent remission of those Russian Errors, mentioned by the Apparition at Fatima in 1917, right before the Bolshies grabbed control of Russia. Their Century may have plain run it's course, on Election Night, in 2016. From Jan. 20th, 2017, we've been recovering our moral compass as a nation. Trump's gang is far from perfect, but they're not National Socialists, either.

If the White Wizard meets Trump in Davos, and gives him proof of what transpired with those DNC tapes, then all bets are off, on the Dimms.
