Resisted - Poem-ish I wrote years back for some performance art :)

I used to do a lot of writing whilst I was at university. This one actually got used briefly in a performance art piece about drunk-driving.

Nothing amazing, just thought I would share it. The girl who sang/spoke it did absolutely amazing!

The piece didn't have a name so I just made one up.

Heels,
transformed into indisputable tangles.

Spinning,
fingers grasping at uninhabited limbs.

Perfect,
once cherished adolescence now lacking exhalation.

When,
intoxication intoxicates precedence.

Such,
humble coffins counterbalance the earth.

awesome I can picture it being made into a dramatic road safety ad

On a side note you got me thinking about the poetry slam scene in 22 Jump St

They had a girl acting out the scene in reverse. It was pretty powerful, well for a uni group effort lol.
