I didn't comment on whether or not it will, or whether I think it should, be used.

Do you think the 25th should be invoked?

Yep, it should be shoved right u.....Oh sorry! you're talking about the constitution now...

Actually should health and psychiatric assessments not be taken into account with the 25th?

How can you invoke the 25th amendment for a POTUS who has dementia if you do not have the power to have said president undergo a full and independent psychiatric assessment. I mean its been claimed that while POTUS Reagan was suffering dementia.

Surly that unless assessments are carried out the 25th becomes kind of useless?

Constitutional Topic: Presidential Disability
What does the 25th say?

The 25th Amendment basically lays out a plan for the Vice President to assume power, taking it from the President when such action is required. Nothing is automatic except what was before: upon death, resignation, or impeachment, the Vice President is the President. But in a case of disability short of death, the wheels can be set in motion under the 25th Amendment.

Rather interesting read...

Funny that you're implying people are Nazi without realising you seem to be supporting old Soviet political corruption.

Too many languages and sources pf totalitarian state control to mention. Why don't you list them for me? Every body understands whats implied by the Nazi salute.

But do, do consider this a test. Name some empires, books, movies, authors etc, that also reflect on censorship and information control.

You go first.

No thanks, I don't think doing your homework assignment will add anything of interest to this thread. If you have a point then make it clearly without my help.

I saw something I wanted to comment on and I commented. You either see my point, or don't see my point, or choose to ignore my point. That's the end of my interest.

This rule arose because a doctor in question was sued.

However a doctor can get around this rule by speaking in general terms.

If i can't fire an employee for being insane, or for being any other protected class of citizen....im not sure it would be constitutional to do so with anyone else.

No but at the same time your employees are not running the country.

Also if your employee was too sick to work, say off for a year with depression then you could take steps to dismiss them.

You wouldn’t let a guy diagnosed with having psychotic episodes work with nukes, POTUS should be held to the same standard

It's interesting the sheer amount of psychological screening and testing and monitoring that is done on the guys who work in missile silos, or Boomer captains. The psychologists keep a really close eye on anybody that is in a position to launch a nuke.

And if any of them show any signs of depression or impaired mental capacity, they're transferred to another service.

System doesn't always work of course. But they deem it important enough to monitor.

That isn't the 'Goldwater Rule', that is their own interpretation of the APA guideline. The Goldwater Rule was devised by the APA and is not universal as evidence by the fact that the APsaA doesn't use it.

Psychoanalyst being the key word. Quacks.

The American Psychoanalytic Association (APsaA) is an association of psychoanalysts in the United States. APsaA serves as a scientific and professional organization with a focus on education, research, and membership development.

en.wikipedia.org...

The "centerpiece of the psychoanalytic process" is the transference, whereby patients relive their infantile conflicts by projecting onto the analyst feelings of love, dependence and anger.[6]

It's okay to be wrong Steve, the APsaA doesn't use it and neither does anyone else in the same capacity.

After you're done nibbling your evidence you can serve yourself a helping of that crow you meme'd back on page 1.

I am unsure where you are looking, by my count I have 42 threads started here, and not all of them are in relation to Trump.

Can you provide evidence I have 59 threads started?

You profile says 59 threads, that may include threads that have been removed by mods.

The point still stands, why are the same members who accuse me and others of being obsessed with Trump (because they don’t like what we write) not calling you out for the same stuff.

You are writing at least 2 or 3 threads a day, most of them on Trump.

So why do some members give you are free pass yet will harass others who write about Trump with accusations of being “obsessed”

First of all you have no idea who is giving this person a free pass or not. Not everybody is here all the time obsessing about Trump.

This OP is a problem for the mods to deal with. The sheer volume of worthless posts is quite annoying. If this is a returning guest they should kick them.

ETA: just saw the post above mine and if that's who it is you are wrong because plenty of people called out the word salad and nonsense threads before.

I thought it was funny that you were implying people were far right for being wary of known far left tactics.

I have no idea why you started talking about movies and books and your point is still not clear to me, sorry. You must be running at a higher level than me and making connections that I am not.

Funny how the word Psychoanalyst is plastered all over the webpage if they don't use the word eh?
You might want to book in some sessions, you got a bad case of TDS.

President Trump has a physical in 2 weeks. It's not a mental physical, but the liberal MSM will try to make everyone believe that it was, and that he flunked it.

Lol, Nazis were National Socialists. How far lefty righty is that deception.

It matters little what political ideology you buy into, they are all facades. The bottom line is conform to laid down systemic controls, or else.

This is true in the West, East, Islam, Christianity, rich, poor, name your divisive formula.

Too bad, so sad.

Thanks for the advice, I decided to join Scientology instead.

That's nice. Doesn't change the fact that you were wrong about the Goldwater Rule. You get so pouty when you're corrected. It's kinda cute.
