...but point at one Obama policy that actually created these 'snowflakes'? You can't can you.

You don't really want to go there, do you????

Let's see...
-Free cell phones
-Amnesty "dreamers"
-Obamacare

Just to name a couple, and the list goes on.

Lastly, anyone who could make the assertion Obama wasn't socialist in his leanings and agenda doesn't understand what socialism is. You call for me to understand socialism when it is you who completely misses the point.

Must be hard being a liberal in the usa, after all the big bad words from the deplorables lol.

Did liberals not get the same tax breaks, did the liberals not invest in the same economy.

Even the liberals in canada are winning, well if you dont mind having justin bieber as your prime minister that is.

But thanks for the joke thread, it was very entertaining.

I am satisfied with the economy at the moment, but it is no doubt a growing bubble and that type of economy is a rollercoaster. Dance today, beg tomorrow.

I guess no matter who is in office, what letter they have, the economic model we follow seems to always be a bubble and burst trend. I will be interested to see what the economy looks like at the 4 year mark. That should give enough time to see if not the complete cycle and notice any flaws. If it looks like steady and smooth sailing, then great...If not, a correction should and will be made.

I wouldn't break the champagne open just yet (assuming Sessions hasn't tried to ban that yet anyhow). I would say invest and squirrel away some money. We seen this game before.

Trump is doing exactly what I thought he would do.
The economy is improving.
I don't care if he's pissing off people to do it.
Why do I say that?
Because I was pissed for the last 16 years and nobody gave a damn.

Re: Cell Phones
Hard to get a job with no callback number. Perhaps there could have been a better filter for who gets one/needs one, but the concept itself isn't bad.

Re: Obamacare
uninsured ppl break the hospital. They still get treatment, but they don't pay because the bills are insane. This leads to ultimately a claim which is partially backed by tax payers dollar at top ticket prices...so the goal is to cut down the tax drain along with help out those who couldn't get insurance, get some. Lots of people on the internet moan about obamacare as it jacked up some prices..and it did and it sucked. Thing about that is, you needed a nice computer, internet access, a warm house with food in the fridge and all sorts to get online to bitch about it..the ppl who weren't bitching most likely didn't have the computer / internet / etc to get online to gripe.

You suggest this makes those uninsured and preexisting conditioned people who need help or will legit die snowflakes...but what I seen is a bunch of secure easy living people moaning about paying extra to help out. Seems they qualify more as the snowflakes than anyone in need of O-care.

As far as the dreamer program. meh...thats a discussion of ideals and ones opinion is as different as another. I do wonder though if lets say mass refugees and immigrants from say, Sweden and Denmark were coming to the US if you would be so strongly against it. Before you start beating your fist on the keyboard, this is one of those things you reflect on in honesty vs reactionary jabber on to pretend your pious
For me on that one, culture behind the immigration counts. I like mexicans (in general / the culture). I am not freaked about a healthy dose of em in the US. Same with most western nations, and far eastern nations. I wouldn't feel comfortable at all with middle eastern nations though simply because of cultural differences altering the US. We are mostly discussing mexicans....the net gain is citizens with good music, good food, and hard working..also likes to let loose and have a drink on the weekend. Sounds pretty good overall. Whats the problem with getting em on the books and taxing them?

I was never worried about it. Republicans were for eight years. Now, deficits don’t matter. We can do it all. Give the rich more, more war, more walls, infrastructure for the countries we bomb.

But we should be worried, whatever safe guard there is on policing the economy and environment are being dismantled, while good for industry in the short term will have damaging effect on people.
This from no liberal source
Trump did not add 235,000 jobs to the economy. Obama did.
newrepublic.com...

We will see a bubble and burst like 9yrs ago, only it will be worst.

In regards to the environment.

I enjoy clear air/water and a biosphere that makes it comfortable for us humans. We seem dead set on screwing it all up though. I don't think it will get to the point of us turning the earth into Venus though. I think enough damage and catastrophic changes will happen over time where we as a whole ultimately admit the issue. By then (if we haven't blown each other back to the stone age...which ironically may be one fix), we should have the tech to start countering the main issues...or at least learn to adapt. Necessity is the mother of invention of course...and it seems we are going to wait until its necessary to keep our butts alive before we do any meaningful action. This is probably how it was always going to be though. the US could become hippies and you still got China and their idgaf policys which soon will dwarf anything the US could possibly contribute to the issue.

So...tech then. Instead of policys trying to stick a finger in the hole of the dam, we need to do some focused heavy research on global atmospheric CO2 catchers or something of the like...good cheap filters for factories that capture most of the greenhouse gases before it exits, etc.

I am slightly regretful that I decided not to have kids, but at the same time, their kids and grandkids don't have to witness the s--tshow that is coming up for the planet.

What is the purpose of this thread, other than to have a circle Jerk about how much the ats echo chamber hates liberals?

I constantly hear about how ats is just a right wing circle jerk, yet even in this thread we are more people critical of the thread than supporting it.

Man do you guys have a victim complex.

So your point is 'Waaaaaah, we're big meanies'? How splendidly mature.

At time of commenting OP has 30 or so circle-jerk stars to his name for this piece of childish nonsense. Which is more than the number of critical commentators.

But this isn't a competition on who gets most stars. The point is, is ATS really for people to post pointless posts which are nothing more than 'LIBRUHLS SUCK! STAR IF YOU AGREEEEEE!'?

Is that not unbelievably childish and pointless? And adds simply to the ongoing Trump-lead destruction of polite discourse?

The problem is you are using absoluteist quotes.

Marxism is bad..gotcha. It is overall as a whole structure, but all systems have some good in them.

I like the nazi example...terrible structured and flawed at the root system, but not every single aspect was to be discarded. a random example is their banning of vivisection, or their anti-smoking laws that kicked into effect removing it from restaurants, public transport, etc.

Marxism has some ideas of merit and so any intelligent civ will sift through the wreckage of a failed model, pick out things that worked or improved the lives without damaging much and toss the rest.

The more personal example (if you need that) is saying hitler as a person was bad...however, his vegetarianism was a plus point that should be encouraged in others. Not everything is pure in either good or bad ideas.

Here's a deal, you go and look up 'Marxism' on the internet, and find me a single Marxist policy proposed by any American President in the history of America, okay?

And no, Obamacare is not a Marxist policy.

I'm not sure you could even find a Marxist policy proposal.

I see what you're saying and I can agree with the direction of your salt however I would argue that the United States America surpasses all of these systems with it's constitution in republican form of government our country is a republic after all. Far superior to national Socialism, Marxism, communism, and totalitarianism.a reply to: SaturnFX

So you don't really have any counterpoint, any rejoinder, and in lieu of any substantive argument you'll just stomp your feet and yammer on about 'circle jerks', 'childish nonsense' and 'pointless posts'.

I'd say that's fairly typical for a response. Why am I not surprised?

All roads from Marxism lead to communism, and what is in the middle( socialism ). We are all either fighting for or against a world order of global communism. Think about the two levels: one for social manipulation, to set the stage for the next level, political control of populations by the few.
