Lol im so triggered, i get it, must suck always being on the wrong side of history.

Its also funny that the deplorables need to make daily threads to tell us how they feel.

C. Defending this complete idiot (Trump) is where the real psychosis lies.

Oh, and let's defend Hillary who lied about using personal servers to pass on classified info to her friends and family, funneling money from Saudi's to her Foundation, and yes, how about Benghazi and lying about that which ended the lives of innocent US civilians? Why not just support this two-faced corrupt liar????

Talk about psychosis my ass

It's more about telling one another how they feel. Gotta get that daily affirmation. They're a very dependent bunch for people who blabber about "socialism" constantly.

It was actually a cleaver trap to see if I could get Duke to use the word triggered, and see if you would come here looking for an ass to slap. I win biggly.

except that birtherism was a racist tantrum from start to finish without a shred of credibility, whereas there are multiple reasons to doubt trump's fitness for office... but whatever helps you sleep at night, friend.

Though it is conspiratorial, there is nothing racist about birtherism.

Well sure there is. It's a dog whistle don't you see? No one would ever question Obama's background at all if he had looked like "one of us." Nevermind that most of their current objections to Trump are based exactly off of incidents out of his past -- some possible hookers and golden shower at a hotel in Russia, tax records going back over ten years last I heard ... etc.

The only reason you might call it racist is if you were never part of the camp that wondered about John McCain's birth at a military base outside the US as making him unfit to run which is its own form of birtherism and was briefly popular among the left.

Occam's Razor has all but disappeared from conventional wisdom anyways. Thus we are never allowed to believe any dissent was ideological or political in nature, but some species of racial animus. That was, until, Trump questioned Cruz's citizenship. Although the Canadian race deserves animus in my opinion.

I remember that...and I remember how Obama and Hillary submitted a bill for a Senate Resolution to declare McCain a natural-born citizen.

110th CONGRESS

2d Session

S. RES. 511

IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES

April 10, 2008

Mrs. McCaskill (for herself, Mr. Leahy, Mr. Obama, Mr. Coburn, Mrs. Clinton, and Mr. Webb) submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

April 24, 2008

Reported by Mr. Leahy, without amendment

April 30, 2008

Considered and agreed to

RESOLUTION

Recognizing that John Sidney McCain, III, is a natural born citizen.

Link to the Resolution

In hindsight...it is all very odd and sort of seems like they all knew what was to come regarding the questions about Obama.

If a person never allow himself to think that opposition to an idea is based in someone else's well-reasoned belief but always rooted in some form of animus to one or another of his personal identity tribes, it spares him the effort of having to respond. The idea may simply be dismissed out of hand.

It makes arguing politics and ideas so much easier because one always wins as no one else can possibly ever morally upright enough to challenge you.

At the same time, it makes one dumb door post and unable to articulate a good argument when someone does come forward with a response.

Not to mention it is quite racist to assume that a person's skin color, and not his ideas, policies, nor track record, are what is driving dissent. I'll quote myself:

"Former president Jimmy Carter knew all too well that the animosity against President Obama from the racist right was because he was a black man, and not because of, say, his policies, as has traditionally been the case between Republicans and Democrats. Mark Potok from the Southern Poverty Law Center agreed. "I think what President Carter said is precisely what is going on. I am not saying that everyone involved in opposing healthcare reform is a Klansman in disguise, but it is the elephant in the room." Congressman Henry Johnson echoed his statements. "I guess we'll probably have folks putting on white hoods and white uniforms again and riding through the countryside." The RNC chairman at the time and obvious racist Michael Steele denied the accusations; but the racist code, manifested in the form “opposing healthcare reform”, had already been delivered. It makes me wonder why Obama’s race is the first thing to pop into the head of Carter, but it is probably because he is well-versed in the meaning of dog-whistles."

Dog-whistles, and the racist who hear them.

When it comes to vindicating each other, you should look in a mirror on this.
