Illegal African migrants found still living in Israel by April could face indefinite imprisonment if they don’t leave

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to expel remaining “illegal infiltrators”

Commenting on the new policy, Netanyahu said that the presence of thousands of undocumented African migrants poses safety and security problems
Source

Here's some interesting news coming out of Israel recently: Prime Minister Netanyahu has put his foot down and announced a plan to either arrest or deport every single illegal immigrant in his country. While the enforcement of immigration law is completely sensible and in line with just about every other country in the world (try sneaking into Canada, for example), Netanyahu may be crossing a line in two ways. First, any illegal immigrants caught in Israel after April could face indefinite imprisonment. Second, illegal immigrants who are currently incarcerated will be given the choice between continued imprisonment or deportation to Sudan, a country that many of them may not even be from.
Regardless of how Israel chooses to respond, the message is loud and clear: illegal immigration is just that, illegal - no matter what country it is that you're sneaking in to. Whether it's Israel, Canada, The United States - immigration laws exist for a reason, and when you break them, you get arrested.

It would be nice if the United States would take the same type of common sense approach to illegal immigration as our friends in Israel. It is refreshing to see countries that actually put their best interest over the interests of lawbreakers. You KNOW illegal immigrants are not good people because their first act was to break the laws of your country. Good for Israel.

I like this blueprint. Washington DC is hopefully taking notes on it.

Nope, he's not banning immigration. Nice try.
He's banning people sneaking into the country illegally.

There should be a law that for those who want open borders, so too must their homes be open.

Just wondering, did the Jews immigrate to Palestine, legally?

Will they let the Gazans out of their walled prison?

The dichotomy is glaring from the pulpit again.

Yeah, a few Maghrebi & Sephardis lived there the entire time. But the Ashkenazis, the bulk of the Sephardis, the Ethiopian Jews, and the Russian Jews who now make up the vast majority of Israelis arrived in the last century, with virtually all Jews arriving in the last 170 years.

Here's a population breakdown about Palestine from the British report to the League of Nations in 1920 (HERE):

There are now in the whole of Palestine hardly 700,000 people, a population much less than that of the province of Gallilee alone in the time of Christ.* (*See Sir George Adam Smith "Historical Geography of the Holy Land", Chap. 20.) Of these 235,000 live in the larger towns, 465,000 in the smaller towns and villages. Four-fifths of the whole population are Moslems. A small proportion of these are Bedouin Arabs; the remainder, although they speak Arabic and are termed Arabs, are largely of mixed race. Some 77,000 of the population are Christians, in large majority belonging to the Orthodox Church, and speaking Arabic. The minority are members of the Latin or of the Uniate Greek Catholic Church, or--a small number--are Protestants.

The Jewish element of the population numbers 76,000. Almost all have entered Palestine during the last 40 years. Prior to 1850 there were in the country only a handful of Jews.

Good people break the laws too.

The laws are man made, arbitrary rules, and can't consider every circumstance encountered by a person in his struggle to survive.

In Italy, for example, it is now legal for a hungry person to break into a grocery store and "steal" sufficient food from the shelves to feed his immediate hunger. The Judges recognize the emergency circumstance that requires the individual to break the law. The individual is not expected to have to starve himself, when there's food available.

LOL Why should anyone believe you instead of the words in the report from that time period? If you have solid stats that refute that report, then please show them.

ETA: Here are the next 4 paragraphs from the same report (I'll link it again just to be safe). Please tell me which parts of this are false?:

The Jewish element of the population numbers 76,000. Almost all have entered Palestine during the last 40 years. Prior to 1850 there were in the country only a handful of Jews. In the following 30 years a few hundreds came to Palestine. Most of them were animated by religious motives; they came to pray and to die in the Holy Land, and to be buried in its soil. After the persecutions in Russia forty years ago, the movement of the Jews to Palestine assumed larger proportions. Jewish agricultural colonies were founded. They developed the culture of oranges and gave importance to the Jaffa orange trade. They cultivated the vine, and manufactured and exported wine. They drained swamps. They planted eucalyptus trees. They practised, with modern methods, all the processes of agriculture. There are at the present time 64 of these settlements, large and small, with a population of some 15,000. Every traveller in Palestine who visits them is impressed by the contrast between these pleasant villages, with the beautiful stretches of prosperous cultivation about them and the primitive conditions of life and work by which they are surrounded.

The success of these agricultural colonies attracted the eager interest of the masses of the Jewish people scattered throughout the world. In many countries they were living under the pressure of laws or customs which cramped their capacities and thwarted their energies; they saw in Palestine the prospect of a home in which they might live at ease. Profoundly discontented, as numbers of them were, with a life of petty trade in crowded cities, they listened with ready ears to the call of a healthier and finer life as producers on the land. Some among them, agriculturists already, saw in Palestine the prospect of a soil not less fertile, and an environment far more free, than those to which they were accustomed. Everywhere great numbers of Jews, whose religion causes them to live, spiritually, largely in the past, began to take an active interest in those passages of their ritual, that dwelt, with constant emphasis, upon the connection of their race with Palestine; passages which they had hitherto read day by day and week by week, with the lax attention that is given to contingency that is possible but remote. Among a great proportion, at least, of the fourteen millions of Jews, who are dispersed in all the countries of the globe, the Zionist idea took hold. They found in it that larger and higher interest, outside and beyond the cares and concerns of daily life, which every man, who is not wholly materialist, must seek somewhere.

Societies were formed which purchased areas of land in Palestine for further Jewish colonization. The Hebrew language, which, except for purposes of ritual, had been dead for many centuries, was revived as a vernacular. A new vocabulary, to meet the needs of modern life, was welded into it. Hebrew is now the language spoken by almost all the younger generation of the Jews of Palestine and by a large proportion of their elders. The Jewish newspapers are published in it. It is the language of instruction in the schools and colleges, the language used for sermons in the synagogues, for political speeches and for scientific lectures.

Large sums of money were collected in Europe and America, and spent in Palestine, for forwarding the movement. Many looked forward to a steady process of Jewish immigration, of Jewish land colonization and industrial development, until at last the Jews throughout the world would be able to see one country in which their race had a political and a spiritual home, in which, perhaps, the Jewish genius might repeat the services it had rendered to mankind from the same soil long ago.

Israel is a country that has a very strong sense of its own identity. It has a very strong sense of national pride and it has a very strong vision of its own future.

For these reasons Israel will not surrender it sovereignty willingly.

Compare this with most western states. They have so many immigrants from other places they have become nations of bitz's. Bitza this, bitz of that and bitzs of everything else.

Most western states have now have little if any sense of their own identity, they have no national pride and no vision of their own future. They will surrender their sovereignty easily because they no longer have any sense of national identity or sense of national pride. This is whay they will not fight invasion because they no longer have any pride in anything at the national level.

All they care about now is their own personal well-being and that of their family and they close off from everything else.

Such a country will surrender its sovereignty easily and may well surrender it without a fight at all as it appears Sweeden is doing now.

This is why Israel will rule the world some day if they don't already do so as some claim they do.
