EW CASTLE - A fire broke out today at a building on the Clintons' property in Chappaqua and was quickly extinguished.

The fire was in a facility used by the Secret Service on the Clinton property in a building not connected to their home, Nick Merrill, a spokesperson for Hillary Clinton, tweeted.

He said the Clintons were not home at the time.

The fire was reported about 2:50 p.m. at 15 Old House Lane where former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton have lived for nearly 20 years after buying it for $1.7 million in 1999.

Police said details would be provided by the Secret Service, but initial scanner reports said it was a bedroom fire and has been extinguished.

Yes, a small fire broke out in the @SecretService facility today on Clinton property, in a building not connected to their home. Fire was put out, local FD responded. The Clintons were not home.

Someone was there while the Clintons were away. I doubt anything of note will be reported on if it were to have actually occurred.
