It's an absolute disgrace. I never thought I would see the day when a US Network would be trying to pour cold water on Iranian people trying to take a stand to end their oppression. CNN has gone as low as it can possibly go.

In a new age where a woman in the states can say "he tried to touch my booby 30 years ago" can instantly get the left all crazed as the get their pitchforks and torches one would think in the situation of true oppression against women in Iran they would be in a huge uproar over it all, but naw...nothing to see here.

Trumps a puppet of the deep state. The sanctions that banks have placed on Iran (for "nukes") are beginning to have their desired effect; the resulting civil unrest is now to be hijacked by infiltrators to turn the demonstrations into regime change, just like trump is parroting on twitter.

CIA subversion of foreign countries playbook, 101.

Is this really the left, what you describe there? Or is it the "U"S american version of what they think is left? Because, outside of the "U"S, the left is something different as what "U"S americans describe of what they think it´s the left.

No clue as to what your trying to get at with the "U"... Well it is really our left, if you want to suggest it is not the world's left...who cares... We could call it pink and blue I guess, but we call it left and right..

For the people, while the right stands for: Nothing else than us and everything for the moneyed aristocracy.

Ah good and evil...

Everything that is called left in the "U"SA is seen as middle, by the rest of the world(except the few rightwinger nations). Everything that is seen as far left, as communism, in the "U"SA, is seen as left leaning, at most, in the sane parts of the world.

Well no...we see them as Socialism, big Government, big taxes etc... We don't see much of anything as communism...

Even unions that represent the interests of the workforce are seen as communism, as something bad and evil that needs to be fought with holy water and guns, in the "U"SA.

Well no again...Some unions are good, others are corrupt and politically driven. People who work for a good company will not want a union, I work for such a company, but in many places you MUST join the union to work even if you disagree with the union...There is always a threat of extremes on both ends... That is what people do not think about... you can have an extreme company that is bad and you can have an extreme union that is also bad, both not being very good for the worker.

No wonder that you started to need three jobs to survive when nobody could believe that it will be like this in the rest of the western world, too. After 20, 30 years after the "U"SA started playing the robber baron capitalism "role model" for the rest of the stupid western governments.

It is called "skilled" labor force. Who the hell works 3 jobs...that is so bullsh@t. The only people that work more than one are unskilled laborers. How is that 7.5% EU unemployment rate that was over 10% not to long ago? Out of 80 million hourly workers less than 2 million are minimum wage. Most of the lowest killed jobs still pay 10 to 15 bucks an hour. I see EU averages about E1600 per month as a minimum, and I find EU kind of expensive place to live, so how are people doing on E1600 per month?

The left, outside of the "U"SA, are not bored millenial Hipsters that hate themselves because of whatever, with pink hairs, Talibeards and skinny jeans, which are completely confused about anything(achieved by MSM and social media), that often even don´t know which gender they should choose today. Or if they should decide to be black or white today. These are mostly problems of mental not stable people, that black and white thing for sure is a mostly "U"S american problem.

Many are liberal minded, but are more anarchist than anything else, so we can't call them right...you got any suggestions?

But has nothing to do with the left. Which is a needed counterpart to the robber baron capitalism and hate ruled right. The left outside of the "U"SA stands for anti total surveillance, anti police states, anti mutlinational acting(ruling?) megacorporations, against the exploiting of the working class, the middle class and the poor. As some very important examples.

Once again many are middle and they lean left or right...lean... You can't have a country where the Government is out of control. (Greece anyone) and you can't have a country where corporatism controls everything...in both cases the people get screwed. In America we might say left and right but leaning left or leaning right are better terms.

If you talk about the left, please talk about the "U"S left, so that the rest of the world knows which kind of allegedly left is meant and can deal with it! And educate yourself about what the left really is, the left in the rest of the world, outside of "gods own country".

I wish you a lot of education for 2018, even it´s a hopeless wish, because the one who needs education must have to want to learn.

Right... We are not democratic socialist country like much of your left is, so we can leave it as that, OK? BTW, I have lived in EU a good deal and I do not find that highly educated population as you assume you have. EU has a very egotistical attitude that sees the US as a young country that needs parental guidance, you all since we only been around a few 100 years. As example when we talk about securing our borders you all opened up yours to show us just how much better and maturer EU is than the US, how is that all going for you all? LOL

Easy to assume "CIA subversion" because of the past. Where's your proof of these so-called "infiltrators?" It couldn't be that Iranian civilians are actually fed up with economic hardships or the Iranian government's involvement in countless human rights violations. Also, why didn't you bring up Israel? They have a vested interest in Iran's nationwide demonstrations. Couldn't they be "infiltrating" these demonstrations? I guess it's just easier for you to blame the United States for everything, huh?

the Islamic Republic may be too busy to start a conflict with Israel, Sima Shine, former deputy head of the National Security Council for Strategic Affairs, told The Jerusalem Post.

According to Shine, the demonstrations will, in a way, “decrease the appetite of military conflict by Hezbollah or Iran as the events are forcing the regime to concentrate on their internal issues.” Therefore, the chances of conflict breaking out between Iran and Israel on the northern borders of Syria and Lebanon “are smaller and smaller.”

While the spark for the protests was the economy, protesters have also taken to the street denouncing the Islamic Republic’s role in conflict zones like Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Gaza; burning pictures of the Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force Maj.-Gen. Qassem Soleimani, who is in charge of Iran’s policy in those countries.

...caused by all those sanctions the Banks put on Iranians recently, you mean?

Or are you also trying to steer attention around that?

Wait, let me guess...

“As long as @RealDonaldTrump is POTUS and I am VP, the United States of America will not repeat the shameful mistake of our past when others stood by and ignored the heroic resistance of the Iranian people as they fought against their brutal regime,” Pence pledged in a series of tweets.

Haha. The left is full of it though. They're all about revolution, feminism gay rights and anti-religion until something like this disrupts the liberal totem pole of importance. Apparently protecting Islam is just more important to them than anything else.

I think it goes something like this. Since the USA is run by a white middle-class male population and they want to bomb Iran and all the other countries, then therefore they must oppose this policy. Therefore they must support these Islamic countries.

The only thing worse than that twisted logic is thinking dropping bombs will bring 'Peace'.
