Only problem is that oil does not create global warming, it may cause equakes by pumping the oil out of the ground, but C02 and warming has already been debunked. CO2 was 4-5 times higher during the ICe age and when Dinosaurs roam the Earth, neither time the Earth was a fireball. The money spent on the global warming nonsense is like 10 times that of oil companies.

We all have a responsibility if I'm going to try to lay blame at anyones feet. China's CO2 is definitely a factor but imagine how mitigated things would be if we hadn't harvested ~250 million acres of filters.

We as in the world or US? Once again trees are a renewable resource and there are more in the US than 100 years ago, but then we look at rain forests and other places that get wiped clean for crops...how do you handle that?

Your post history tells us you lean right, as does your screen name.

It is no hoax that CO2 levels are rising as a direct result of human activity.

To the poster who thinks CO2 does not cause warming, please research the concept of radiative forcing.

My post history, I believe, shows I lean toward reality. If you wish to define that as politically 'right,' that is your prerogative. I repeat, I am not a Republican.

Actually, considering your next statement that grants are not given based on desired areas of interest... maybe you're correct: there may be little difference between politically 'right' and reality at this point in time. I will need to consider that. Thank you for pointing that out.

As for my screen name... irrelevance comes to mind... as well as a tendency toward prejudice.

It is no hoax that CO2 levels are rising as a direct result of human activity.

it is no hoax that some indicators show a slow increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide levels.

Those two statements are not the same.

Lol those guys can barley predict whether its or not its going to rain tomorrow.
But yeah 100 yearss from now..

I'm not sure what barley has to do with it, but way to call out those stupid scientists! Good job!

Pretty obvious keyboard error. IS grammar nazi a full time job?

Well, here's the deal. There are a good half dozen grammatical errors in that paragraph. I am merely pointing out the irony inherent in calling out scientists in a barely literate manner. Hey...they made a movie about that!

As to shots at Trudeau? Sure...that's on topic!
But do enjoy the weather.

As to grammatical errors yeah thats on topic. You lefties are such hypocrites.
What is being cited by the vast majority of scientists is the result of observation and analysis of the data by highly trained individuals. What you have presented is opinion. I was merely pointing out the irony in the nature of your presentation.
Polish it up and you might wish to present a paper at the next climate conference. You know...or not.

For our purposes here let’s just assume global warming is real. I know there are compelling arguments which show, in painful detail, how this is nonsense, but just let it ride for the moment. Now Trump is not a politician; he’s a businessman, so he looks at the word from a business point of view—not a politician’s. What the world has come up with as a solution to global warming is simply a tax system that takes money from the US and allows the rest of the world to pollute in greater amounts than ever before. It doesn’t solve global warming; it transfers wealth. And from a business point of view that just sucks. Literally.

If you will remember Ross Perot, another businessman who ran for President, one of the main points he made was that if you approved these free trade agreements, then there would be this vast sucking sound as American jobs were sent overseas and to Mexico. It’s been some time since he ran and guess what? The agreements were signed, and now America has lost its manufacturing base to places like China and Mexico and India—exactly like he said would happen.

These Paris Accords and agreements like them are in the same realm as the free trade agreements. Take from America; give to others. Tell America we can’t produce. Let the rest of the world do so. And it’s not just third world countries either. China and India are terribly polluted. You can’t even breathe in Bejing. So Trump is basically saying that is unfair. It penalizes the US and rewards those who would build (and pollute) at our expense.

Of course his tweet pisses off liberals, who have never met a tax they didn’t like. If you don’t drive a Prius, then you’re the enemy. If you drive a poor man’s car (a polluter) you’re a hick. If you drive a rich man’s car, you’re too successful and must have done it at the liberal’s expense. You know a priori that anything Trump does or says, they’ll not like. Yet he has a way of speaking to normal people that reflects their own sense of being betrayed by liberal politicians the world over. And his success in doing that pisses off the libs even more.

We as in humanity who have destroyed 250 million acres that aren't going to be renewed as long as cities, houses, roads, etc exist. That includes illegal temporary roads to deforestation in the rain forests as well as the massive deforestation in Africa and other places.

The only thing that's new knowledge for me based on what you've added is that your arrogance is overshadowed by your ignorance. I look forward to you providing something new and beneficial...some day. Since you're so perfect and all lol. How's that world hunger going? Still haven't solved that yet huh? Tsk tsk. Not so perfect after all lol. Try being rude less and you won't get rude back. That way we can focus on positive discourse instead of childish foolishness. Ball's in your court

I fully support Trumps decision to not ratify the Paris Agreement. How would sending tax dollars to The Green Climate Fund help America, or the world for that matter?

If the man-made climate change ship didn't have so many holes in it causing to sink fast, then Trump supporters might be upset with him. As it is, it's just funny. No matter how hard you try you can't fill those holes, which is why 99% of the contribution from man-made global warming pushers revolves around insults.

Hmmm,
Looks like the sun is more responsible for climate change than we are. Now we MAY have an ice age in 2030, not because I farted, but because the sun has 10 and 90-year cycles that affect sunspots. I don't think that we are the biggest factor in climate change, but that does not mean I wouldn't like to see us clean up the planet and use some green technology.

The population explosion since the industrial revolution in extraordinary, and is the biggest problem we face. At some point the planet will not cope and we will all be destroyed, only to grow back to where we are today in a million years or so. I am willing to bet that that cycle has played out many times over the past billions of years.

It doesn't seem to matter to these 'salespeople'. It's like the '17 intelligence agencies' in the Russia narrative. It's propaganda that continues to get used because admitting that they were conned leads to all sorts of questions about what else they used for so long that is complete bunk.

The Ice Age doom porn is beginning to surface more and more - we may be seeing a switch to keep the dollars flowing now that man-made global warming is on it's last legs as a scam.
