The more desperate they get, the more ridiculous their screeching becomes. Maybe they can put all their cool stories into a nice little book when they're rotting away in prison together.

Um, how does destroying the administration that a person is in charge of good for the country? How is a person who has absolutely no clue about the position they are nominated for, good for the country?

Rick Perry: Former governor of the state of Texas, Been in politics for a long time. As the Agricultural commissioner of Texas during the 1990’s. Has a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science. This means the man can tell you about how to raise and work with animals, probably vet stuff.

Secretary of Energy: This is a position was created under the Carter administration. It was formed due to the energy crisis of the 1970’s. For those who were not around, it was a horrible time, when the price of gas, exploded due to an embargo that was put against the USA by OPEC. It causes a major spike in the price of gas and oil. Many of the prices we see today are due to that. A good example of those times would be in areas where they are hit by a natural disaster and they have to ration gas, or are completely out and cannot dispense gas at all. It is a heavy science position, in charge of developing and monitoring nuclear weapons, energy research conservation, and domestic energy projects. This also would include energy from fossil fuels but also nuclear energy, along with renewable energy sources. They also are responsible for various science projects, like the human genome project. The mission statement includes: The advancing of the national, economic and energy security of the United States, as well as supporting innovating technology to further those goals.

So how does having a man, who has no understanding about even the most basic of nuclear science, how is he qualified to run that department? His only real understanding of such would be with say the Oil industry, which is heavy in Texas, which we as a nation import on a regular basis.

Here is another good example: Matthew Petersen, he was nominated to be a federal judge, but had no clue about the position or the job that was required.

Betsy DeVOs: Secretary of Education: Has a college degree in Economics. But has never taught a child, has never dealt with anything really in the area of education, yet now you have a person, who has no real qualifications to run such a department, in charge of said department.

The EPA: Found in the 1950’s is there to manage resources and the best way of conserving them. To deal with clean air and water, very important to the country and human life. It is now run by Edward Scott Pruitt: Has a degree in political science, communications and is a lawyer. As the Oklahoma Attorney general, sued the EPA no less than 14 times to stop the various regulations. Course he did this representing various companies in the energy sector, following their interest than that of the state. Emails would show this.

Well first...specific degrees mean really nothing. I’ve had multiple jobs I’ve excelled at that were nowhere near the name of my degree. You do know there are lots of courses outside of the specific degree? At those levels, the cabinet Secretaries are not doing boots on the ground work. They have staff for that.

As for Devos...The problem with the US Education system IS economic. I highly doubt the Secretary of Education teaches students nor needs a teaching certificate. Etc.,etc., etc.

The sky is NOT falling, POTUS 45 is doing some things great, some not so much...just like EVERY OTHER POTUS IN US HISTORY! In the end, HRC lost to the worst candodate the “R”’s could have put up...which says a lot about HRC. Oh, and I’ve become deaf to Russia, Russia, Russia, so don’t bother...

The government subsidizes USPS.

Maybe the Federal Government USED TO subsidize the U.S. Post Office?

The U.S. Postal Service is an independent agency within the federal government and does not receive tax dollars for operating expenses, according to its website. The organization makes up a significant portion of the $1.4 trillion U.S. delivery industry. Other players include Fedex Corp. and United Parcel Service Inc.

www.reuters.com...

Not entirely accurate claim by the USPS...
They borrow a lot of money from the US Treasury and get it at a ridiculously low, subsidized rate of 1.2%. They also are recipient to a boatload of effective subsidies which limit their competition and grants them a monopoly on some of the services they offer.
www.sonecon.com...

Their financial structure is also directly regulated by Congress, which means that any POTUS is within their bounds commenting on the USPS business decisions, particularly when the USPS is essentially transferring federal subsidy gains to a wholly private corporation like Amazon.

While yes, that is true, however, they have staff to look into things, however, if they do not have a fundamental grasp on the topic, what good is that staff? That staff is not there to provide an elementary education about the topic, but give the reports.

A leader, no matter the position or placement needs the basic knowledge of what ever job they are doing, in order to ensure that those under them are doing the job. While they do not have to have the specific and detailed knowledge, but the basics are required to effectively lead and ensure that the job is done.

And as far as DeVos, while she does not have to teach students, she should at least have some of if not the same knowledge and skills as a basic educator would have. She does not have to know the topics, but she should know the skills to teach, and it is highly unlikely that she would have said skill set to do such.

And do you really think it really correct to nominate a person to a position that he sued 14 times in the past? That shows that the man would be antagonistic to the very agency that he is suppose to be running. That in itself could cause problems down the line.

While many of the people today are only here for 4 years, that is not an issue, but perhaps we should stop looking at the now and look at the future and say is it a good thing, as it takes a few years to correct or undo any messes from the prior administration if the policies were detrimental to those departments or to the system on the whole.

Think about it if we didn't have federal government life would be much better, each state handling their own buisness,if you don't like a policy, then you can move to a state that shares your ideas, not trying to force everyone to comply,we don't need an agency to tell us someone is a certain color or race, different religious beliefs, these things are common sense something everyone should possess, unless you let someone do that for you

Cheney was busy. Maybe Rick has a better fiscal sense than a greenie.

Petersen? Meh. He withdrew.

Betsy is not a progressive whackjob. Probably believes there are only 2 sexes.

Pruitt? Why give a fanatic his dream job? Hire someone that doesn't love orphaned snails and has endless spools of red tape.

Perry was not a good choice. As I stated before, the person in that position needs to have a good working knowledge of nuclear science. Consider this, that around the country there are 99 nuclear reactors going right now. That also means that there is the waste from said plants. That is not to mention the 8691 nuclear warheads. And one can not also forget the nuclear waste that is generated, along with the naval vessels that have nuclear plants on board. And the scientific and civilian use of said materials. And then there are the storage facilities for those warheads made of plutonium that have the cores in storage.

In the past the position was held by a person who had degrees in physics. The skill set alone allowed them to make the necessary decisions to ensure the safety for all of those around. Now that appears to go out the window and one wrong mistake can have far greater consequences than anyone can know. After all how much of the country would you be willing to lose due to a mistake?
