I joined when ATS still had the tranquility meter. I thought that ruled a lot.. but that was in conjunction with the points.

It confused me when I first joined.. I thought it was a measure of my sanity.

Nice to see how much ATS has grown since I joined!

How did all of you geezers last this long?
I'm starting to feel like I'm a bit of an institution here: I've finally got a semi-decent avatar and i'm nearly 10 months old.
I don't think I can even imagine myself sitting around here talking about how things were 2 years ago though, or sitting on half a million points like Fred, or any of that crazy stuff you old-timers do.

I'm curious, and I think some of our veterans here might know the answer: have we ever knowingly had a member of political or social importance? If we got one, do you think he'd be able to show himself without being flamed into oblivion?
The reason I ask is either because I'm Hillary Clinton in disguise or because I plan on running for congress eventually.

I had about 5 stars when they were removed. I think I rememebr SO saying something about getting rid of the experience mod becuase people were getting to obsessed with it. Especiallly the
'Insider Appreaciation" (which was the bar to measure your appluads) there was no bts,p@ats, atsnn, Id, just good old ATS. I joined here about july 2003, so I really dont consider myself an "old timer". SOme have been here since 1997, when ats didn't use xmb of course.

Good times, but ats has progressed into something wonderful. I'd hate to see it go back to the old methods.

The main Paranoia Indicator on the ATS Main Page would should the level of the whole board, the more posts in Conspiracy Topics itd go towards Running for the Hills, same with Chit Chat, itd go towards Tranquil.

Im not really sure how the Resistance Level works, but they have basically the same thing on Sportztawk.
